26 episodes sounds little :| but i don't know
Alll 26 episodes take place in the same place though. Perhaps they thought too many episodes in the same setting would get people bored? Oh and the fact that all she has left to master is air bending, so without learning bending as a plot point I guess that can shorten it too. Plus in the OP it says that the co creators of the original series will write EVERY single episode, so it's safe to assume there won't be as much... filler type episodes that we saw in the original. Most episodes will probably directly revolve around the plot.
It looks nice so far. [editline]24th July 2011[/editline]
After Aang's death, the next Avatar, Korra, was born to the Southern Water Tribe.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Looks epic, but the polar bear looks more like a dog :v:
polar-wolf, most animals in the avatar universe are hybrids. Remember the episode with the bear? they were confused when it just said bear and it wasnt a mix. "this place is wierd". [editline]24th July 2011[/editline]
It looks nice so far. [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
well yeah, you cant have 2 avatars
26 episodes sounds little :| but i don't know
From what I read they were actually at first just going to make a mini-series, guess they turned it into a full fledged sequel.
uh who didnt like the previous series?
everybody loved the first series. but we all know how fans are sometimes they can flip in one sec. I for one am excited and hope they do more seasons
I liked the original series, despite not being very long. It had everything a good action series should have, with dramatic/serious and funny/comic relief in the appropriate places. I still watch it today. This makes me excited that they're making the series more darker/mature. I think the original series would have been more interesting if they were that way.
Everything in the trailer seems to look really modern for 70 years. Motherfucking skyscrapers. [editline]edit[/editline] Wait... Aang and Katara actually do marry and have a kid? HAWT.
super fucking excited
All the Steampunk I could ever want.
better quality trailer
I'm reading the description and I see
Mako is named after the Mako
That's an awesome homage. For those of you who don't know, THE Mako was the original voice actor of Uncle Iroh. He was also the voice actor of Aku in Samurai Jack.
The animation looks fucking awesome. Avatar was a surprisingly deep cartoon, hopefully this will be as good.
I wish these guys could get off Nickelodeon so they could actually show blood from time to time and have characters die
Why would you care about blood when you can have an amazing show like this?
I'm so excited about this, I still remember watching the first season as a kid. A little saddend that sokka wont be a main caracter anymore though.
Hopefully i will be looking forward to this show. Also that guy's mask in the end of the trailer remind me of Jack of blades.
I FRAKIN LOVE ANIME
It looks nice so far. [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
He was like 11x years old, can't expect him to live for ages
He was like 11x years old, can't expect him to live for ages
He lived for like 170 years probably.
In addition to Aang, the rest of Team Avatar is dead by the time the series starts, according to Andrea Romano.
I wonder whether Zuko still lives [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Also they better elaborate what the hell happened to Ursa in some sort of flashback or what have you
i wonder if toph is still alive, she was the youngest
Also they better elaborate what the hell happened to Ursa in some sort of flashback or what have you
The reason they didn't show it in the original series is because it was too dark for Nickelodeon, and since this is going to still be on the same channel, I doubt it will be shown.
OH SHIT so excited I didn't know there was a knew trailer but they've all been removed! This is like the only Nick cartoon I've enjoyed since Spongebob and that was like 14 years ago. Oh just noticed the HD link that looks great.
The reason they didn't show it in the original series is because it was too dark for Nickelodeon, and since this is going to still be on the same channel, I doubt it will be shown.
uh how is getting banished "too dark"
There was a theory that she killed Azulon because he ordered the death of Ozai's firstborn son, aka Zuko, and Ursa, being the loving mother that she was, chose her son over anything.
I wonder if they'll give this Avatar a love interest of some sort.
There was a theory that she killed Azulon because he ordered the death of Ozai's firstborn son, aka Zuko, and Ursa, being the loving mother that she was, chose her son over anything.
or the alternative where she hired an assassin, so they could of just put a scene where she hands money to a guy in a mask, which would have the assassination implied (like Jets death)
or the alternative where she hired an assassin, so they could of just put a scene where she hands money to a guy in a mask, which would have the assassination implied (like Jets death)
That's a bit of a cop-out to be honest. Loving mother sacrificing it all for her Son seems much more dramatic, and better, to be fair.
Damn, I still need to finish the original.
