Couldn't find a thread for the livestream, so I made my own.
A bit of info for anyone joining in late.
Maybe it's because I just read the beginning of the thread, but, some of you need to learn how shit works
They were voting on amendments to the bill, changes that would make it less (although still) facist and awful.
People you want to support, who have been fighting for YOUR rights all day:
Zoe Lofgren - D-CA
Darrell Issa - R-CA
Jared "The internet is for porn." Polis - D-CO
Jason Chaffetz - R-UT
Ron Wyden - D-OR
They've seriously been doing excellent jobs. Like them on Facebook and Twitter, your support will really help them, because they've been putting up with massive idiots the entire day.
And don't freak out yet, SOPA must still pass Senate and Obama. Although that is a bit worrying, Obama especially, considering they just passed NDAA.
And if SOPA does fail, all of you, remember PIPA is still floating around, which is pretty much SOPA-lite.
Also here's a list of some top level corrupt cunts
Donations to SOPA Co-Sponsors from the movie industry-
Rep. Howard Berman, D-Calif., $1,727,156.
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., $516,400
Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., $488,731
Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Calif., $488,636
Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Tex., $392,995 (sponsor)
Rep. Robert Goodlatte, R-VA, $316,686
Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., $261,700
Rep. Lee Terry, R-Nev., $248,168
Rep. John Barrow, D-GA, $210,900
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., $204,199
Berman especially, comparing shit to nuclear weapons.
Also, Steve King is a fucking moron too.
And Mel Watt.
Good luck everybody.
Let us hope for the best that this does not pass.
id love to listen but honestly it just seems like they're talking without actually saying anything.
I am liking all the people voting no.
Well that's a lot of "Nos" being said.Maybe we'll be ok.
Almost everyone is voting no.
Was the "Aye/Nay" the actual voting?
No, that was for an amendment that we missed.
Was the "Aye/Nay" the actualy voting?
It was the vote for the 4th amendment. Not the entire bill.

The first paragraph.
I think the internet is safe...
Everyone votes no. I think we're safe.
EDIT: Just when I pressed on "Post", some jackass voted yes.
What a bunch of retards "I aspire to be a nerd". cringeworthy.
god damn it, this is going to get through, isn't it....
What a bunch of retards "I aspire to be a nerd". cringeworthy.
'I'm not a nerd, I aspire to be a nerd'
this is what happens when a bunch of old-timer idiots start making laws about something they clearly never used or read about
This better not pass. I highly doubt this bill will.
But in a couple of months, they will change the wording and it will go through. It always happens like that.
We'll know it passes when the site shuts down at the end.
The next amendment is about whether they should consider an IP-address and domain name as the same thing.
WHAT THE FUCK?

I'm pretty sure the amendment they just voted on would have been a good thing(err, that's worded wrong. Nothing about any of this is good), but only 4 people voted yes. It was about not targeting IP addresses, only domain names. But some guy said that some evil foreign infringing sites can only be accessed by their IP, and everyone voted no.
who's going to want internet if everything is blocked
all internet companies are gonna go down and out
This is crazy. They can't possibly pass this bill...
They're going to count the votes after the break

At least they know what an IP is, when a similar law was passed in the UK the person who had written it thought IP stood for intellectual property (in that context).

I think it's time to get Officer John Pike back on duty.
A lot of memes based on this getting spread around.

No really I'm at school and I can't focus while I'm thinking about the fate of the bill.
So when is the break over?
I wanna see the fate of the internet...
