So today I scored a Hondo Acustic Guitar from school. It's missing the Nut, Strings and bridge pegs. Then it's tuning pegs are fucked, bent on an angle, dent's in the body as well. I'm going to fix it up and it should only cost about $50-100. As compared to a new full price guitar. pretty sweet really if you ask me. Any way I would like some help on what parts to get for it. I have this spretty much but missing that stuff and different tuning pegs. It's funny because the price of the school guitars are probably about $50-$100 as well.

Cool. were they the mexican and japanese ones?
My Mexi-Jazz is of superb quality if you ask me, sure it's not American made but still, on a $400 budget you can't beat the price at all.
Well its more the japanese ones that arnt very good.
Wait, shit, wrong thread. Sorry

For me, I just pick the cheapest acoustic available that is playable. Electrics are where I spend time shopping. :D
Hell, I'll just drop it into the local musical instument store and get them to fix it.
Tuning pegs, 30 dollars. Strings, 5 dollars. Headnut should be around 8 dollars. Not sure what bridge pegs are, but I'm sure they can't cost must. You do realize Japanese manufacturers generally have a good name?
