I am looking for some creative people to write a few cadences. I know a few of you are pretty good at what you do. So, what I am asking is for you to create a decent cadence of your own that I may use while training my recruits.
Gungnir Corps (Gung-neer) is the name of our group.
Our motto is "Strike hard" (feel free to create some more. Gungnir is the name of Odin's spear, and is said to, once thrown, continuously pierce through anything until it is recalled by the user.)
We wear multi-cam.
We are an infantry type that focuses on rapid movement and offensive maneuvers. We are very aggressive against our enemies and we never surrender.
Something to keep in mind, the cadences are meant to be used by 1-1 (Colorado Division, 1st squad), and should all be based on either Leader, repeated by follower (Leader: 1, 2, 3, 4! Follower: 1, 2, 3, 4!) or (Leader: 1, 2, 3, 4! Follower: Gungnir Corps! Leader: [next verse] Follower: Gungnir Corps!)
Also, remember that The cadence will always start and finish each verse with the LEFT foot, so each verse should have an ODD number of words.
Thank you, if you help!
(Please do not post if you are not going to help)
-must not be a real military cadence, but can be inspired by one.
-must be your own creation
-must exceed 10 verses (with repeating followers) or 20 verses (with single verse followers)
I was in charge of some guys when I was doing a two week Land Navigation course, and we took all of our inside jokes and experiences from it to make a great cadence to the tune of "Johnny Comes Marching Home Again"
I would call out the first part, and the platoon would respond "Land Nav, Land Nav" instead of "Hurrah, Hurrah!" As in,
"Who braved the fog that fateful night?" "Land nav! Land nav!"
That's a good idea! I'm sure we will have plenty to work with eventually!
Oh! Another good one for getting people in step while marching in formation;
Make it clear to your troops that when you say "Left" they respond with "Your Right"
Your mother was home when you left! Your Right!
Your father was home when you left! Your Right!
Your brother was home when you left! Your Right!
Your sister was home when you left! Your Right!
Your dog was home when you left! Your Right!
Your cat was home when you left! Your Right!
Your bird was home when you left! Your Right!
Your mother, your father,
your brother, your sister,
your dog, your cat, and
your bird were all home
when you left! Your Right!
This one can be quite tricky for the one calling it, but it sounds great when done right. It's also fun because you can add random shit in for the names, like "Your Facepunch was home when you left, Your Garry was home when you left", etc etc.
