I suck at this. Of course, this is my first time doing anything with engines, so I'll learn what I can. I want to be able to tune suspension geometries for race cars, I've learned how to set up suspensions from Forza Motorsport and Live For Speed. I guess I'll just have to wait for release.
-Was wrong, actually a score of 224.-
Damn can't get a much higher score than 152...I think. 1.3 lb/hph and 212 hp [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] .9 lb/hph and 172 hp with a score of....152. :geno: [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] Whatever I'll come back tomorrow.
High flow cat -- can't use that m8. The three way cat doesn't effect performance at all when you're using large pipe. Anyways, I'm done for now. If someone tops it I'll make it better :v [t]http://atomic.uirpg.com/files/Lucky7.JPG[/t] My score total is: [1.5 - 0.3 = 1.2] * 100 = 120] + 186 = 306] - 80 = 226
What the fuck, nothing I do gets the economy below 0.5, and somehow you get 10 more horsepower than me with half the economy. I'll just... go play Diablo 3... in a couple hours... and forget all about this failure
I give up. There is literally nothing I can do to get my horsepower ratings up while getting my economy down. It's literally impossible. I've tried every combination of every option imaginable, and there is nothing I can do to get it to Bradley's score. My best was 198. The winner of "Bradley and Turke's Automation Challenge" is...Bradley, the host of the challenge.
I got the score of 146 not knowing jack shit about engines. I fell pretty good about that score too. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Automation%20Launcher%202012-05-14%2023-49-25-60.bmp[/t]
Edit: changed the picture so you can see that i used only allowed parts. If my calculations are correct, my best score is 243
I feel like I did something wrong but here it is anyway. Score 337
Your displacement is a full liter larger than it should be. It's at 2311cc, and it should be at 1300cc or less. [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] Also, i feel like several people are not seeing the technology slider on the individual tabs.
got it to 231...
got it to 231...
Need screeeeeeeeeeeens

Nice, looks like it's Dylan with 243, Psygo with 231, and then me with 226 for the top three. I'm curious as to how you guys pushed so much more power out, I couldn't find any more than what I got.
you using aluminium block and head? for some reason making them cast gave me ~5hp :v [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] also could be related to bore/stroke..
Making the head cast gives a few more hp, but i didn't get a change from the block.
yeah i didn't try separately changing them, only both at a time.
If my math is right, I'm now at 232.. Using regular 3 way now (didn't even realize there was 3 way and high flow 3 way, lol) trying to tweak it just a little more to get those last 12 points..
Managed to get a total score of 244
Currently tied with Dylan @ 243.. [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/79488177/waffles%20are%20for%20pussies.png[/thumb]
I can't get my score past 244, seems to be the wall.
I'll get past 244. You guys just wait. I'll do it.
Holy shit. How in the hell are you all getting such high scores. I must try harder.
244 can suck my dick fuck that score
I'm getting closer with my 234, i just gotta get over this wall now :/
i wish i owned a 1.3L engine with over 200bhp..
hayabusa
Rotary
must try harder later, mine blew up first try.
God damn it. The highest I got was 194 and I've been tweaking it for nearly two hours. I'll keep trying but damn. Got any tips? I've got my motor at 1300 cc exactly, aluminum block, cast iron head, sohc, 16 valves, VVT+VVI or whatever, MPFI, single throttle per cylinder. That combo of intakes and heads seems to be getting me the best results. I don't know where to go from here, but I'll keep trying. :\
It's all black voodoo magic in the bore/stroke, compression ratio, timing, and fuel.
