[QUOTE=Del91;35974644]God damn it. The highest I got was 194 and I've been tweaking it for nearly two hours. I'll keep trying but damn. Got any tips? I've got my motor at 1300 cc exactly, aluminum block, cast iron head, sohc, 16 valves, VVT+VVI or whatever, MPFI, single throttle per cylinder. That combo of intakes and heads seems to be getting me the best results. I don't know where to go from here, but I'll keep trying. :\[/QUOTE] make sure bore is as high as possible and stroke is low.
Not necessarily.
well ok, yeah not always, but it's how I went and it worked pretty well, just cba to adjust it any more.
[QUOTE=Psygo;35978083]make sure bore is as high as possible and stroke is low.[/QUOTE] Prrretty much exactly what I did. Maybe it's because I'm using a medium size engine? [editline]16th May 2012[/editline] Stroke is as low as possible, pretty sure, and Bore isn't much higher. My engine isn't far off square.
I made bore as low as possible and stroke as high as possible and scored 244.
[QUOTE=Dylan_94;35984675]I made bore as low as possible and stroke as high as possible and scored 244.[/QUOTE] That was my trick. High revving tiny motors.
I suck at this. How do I get a three-way catalyst? [editline]17th May 2012[/editline] Nevermind. Forgot to change the technology year.
I'll try out a tiny engine.
Didn't work out for me, but I made a 2.4L NA 4 banger with 315 hp and 190 lbft. Damn. [editline]17th May 2012[/editline] 330 hp 200lbft [editline]17th May 2012[/editline] 357 hp 211 lbft after switching to DI and a bit more tuning for DI. [editline]17th May 2012[/editline] I'd love to have one of these. [editline]17th May 2012[/editline] Oh wow. I've been using the short cast header.
One thing I learned while trying to do this: Dont ever design engines
213 so far. Dang I cant seem to get my economy under .7
vvt/vvl
I just put random settings and managed to make a med block direct injected all steel parts make 10hp at 9000rpm before it knocked yeah im not getting in this competition
214. Woop. Improved by just one point.
I'll go through the posts in a bit and find a winner
Fairly certain Dylan won with 244 points. Not sure if he ever posted proof but we'll see who won! :D
I think someone else got 244 as well. [img]http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/558/automation.png[/img] [editline]21st May 2012[/editline] Yeah, Kotusifali, assuming he followed all rules and stuff.
This is the closest I could get, at 243. [IMG]http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb397/kart22racer/Engine-2.png[/IMG]
I want one for my car
I don't. Look at the lifespan on that sucker. 287 MRevs
[QUOTE=piranhamatt;36071083]I want one for my car[/QUOTE] It would break down the second you drove it off your driveway. (also torqueless)
I want one in an old mini.

[QUOTE=Ldesu;40242498]Read the OP, dude. There's a link[/QUOTE] did you miss the wink wink nudge nudge [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] I'm also wondering by the way
don't think you can to be honest, it forces you to login every time you launch the game, so you'll just have the demo.
