Sometimes I think about going to the gym, but then I think again about how I'll look in there, some skinny facepunch geek using a benchpress..
Don't worry man! Everyone was at one point like that! When I see skinny kids doing cardio and stuff when they should be trying to bulk up-that's hilarious. BUT when they're at the gym, even doing JUST the bar for all their exercises, but using proper form, and you can see they're trying, I have lots of respect for them. No one will laugh at you or put you down. And if you see someone much bigger than you- jus think, one day you could possibly be like that!
Awesome, does it have real weights or is it just those resistance things? No matter what, you should try switching up with free weights, machines very often do isolation exercises, and you should try and get some compound in.
Real weights, 20 pounds each weight, 15 weights in total and each workout has different amounts of resistance on each weight.
Do those have any drawbacks? Like how steroids have to be taken FOREVER or else you lose your muscle (thats what i heard if thats wrong then I'm sorry)
They fuck with your body. Not as bad as steroids, but anything that messes with the body's natural processes is not good. [editline]04:15AM[/editline]
My dad took some protein powder thing, and ate as much food as he could, and he pretty much turned into Hulk, but then he stopped using it for a few months since he was strapped for time and cash, and now he's lost ~50 pounds in muscle mass.
I take protein powder on and off, and I never ever lose weight from it. Maybe he lost the weight because he stopped working out?
Sometimes I think about going to the gym, but then I think again about how I'll look in there, some skinny facepunch geek using a benchpress..
To be honest I once felt the same way. After a while of getting in the routine you realize that nobody bats an eyelash.
Hopefully this will make me be alpha.

http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=944193 This one seems perfectly fine.
Go with your friends. Ah, this is the stuff my dad used:
Vanilla.
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=944193 This one seems perfectly fine.
Yes, but as I said, the discussions in it are mostly about cardio even though it was meant to be about working out. Oh, and it's in a forum where only a select few people post, the thread's barely active. [editline]04:21AM[/editline]
Yes, as I said, times are tough and he was strapped for time working 12 hour night shifts.
So, he lost the weight not because of the protein, but because of not working out :)
I want to lift some weights but it's hot as fuck and my hands are sweaty what do I do
A good protein is Myofusion: Gaspari has always been known to be reliable, and use only clean products in their protein. It has low fat, high protein, and best of all, tastes fucking incredible!
I want to lift some weights but it's hot as fuck and my hands are sweaty what do I do
Log off, turn off the computer. Shoot it. Walk outside, jog. Go back in, do some pushups.
I want to lift some weights but it's hot as fuck and my hands are sweaty what do I do
Get an air conditioner. Wipe your hands. GO FOR IT.
I want to lift some weights but it's hot as fuck and my hands are sweaty what do I do
bring a towel [editline]04:24AM[/editline] Oh and the link for Mr.Olympia in the OP is now showing women in bikinis strutting their stuff Warning: they probably have more muscle than 99% of FP :v:
Warning: they probably have more muscle than 99% of FP :v:
They do, to a scary degree
They do, to a scary degree
a few are actually pretty hot though
A few look like lobsters that can crack my skull.
For anyone who wants to work out their pecs, and do it pretty easily, www.hundredpushups.com Late, whatever. It still applies.
Oh yeah that's another thing that gets my motivation up in the gym: seeing hot girls on the treadmills. Best part is, since you're working out all the blood flows to your muscles so you can't be embarassed walking around with a huge boner in those small workout shorts :D [editline]04:31AM[/editline]
For anyone who wants to work out their pecs, and do it pretty easily, www.hundredpushups.com Late, whatever. Benching isn't available to everyone.
Benching isn't available to everyone.
That's true. You can often buy a bench with bar and weights at garage sales for like 30-50 bucks though. That's how I got my first bench. Pushups are pretty awesome too though, but clap pushups are where it's at.
Clap pushups don't do jack shit haha.
Clap pushups don't do jack shit haha.
they help you with explosiveness for your chest, since they're an explosive movement
you can actually do pushups a lot more often than you can bench, because benching uses foreign resistance to work your body, and you need recovery time to go back to benching. talking like a day or so if you work out really hard. however, you could do pushups all day and not get too sore since you're just using your own body's weight as resistance. if that makes sense.
Body builders are probably the most frightening human beings I will ever see.
Postan a three weeks comparison shot. Yes I am aware the lighting is abit different in each photo http://meta.filesmelt.com/downloader.php?file=Progress.jpg
