People who think it is their business to 'save' smokers make me laugh, I don't smoke my self but Christ leave them alone, it's their choice to smoke and if it does kill them then so be it. You have no sway in their decisions so stop trying.
beautiful cancer
No
Says a man with the name "jimhowl33t" , which probably has no idea about what the fuck hes talking about at all.
Would you say the same thing if you had cancer tomorow.
Yes, I would, as I said, I have accepted that there will be consequences and I will face them. If you really knew my medical history, cancer's the least of my worries.
I fucking hate this negative stigma towards smokers. Those people, they think it's like turning off and on a switch to stop and start smoking.
This is Facepunch. They think the obese can become olympic athletes by eating a bit less cake.
Rayven, are you blind? The OP is clearly trolling.
Some smokers smells fucking disgusting. Besides let them smoke, let them slowely destroy their bodies alone. I don't even see you the OP gives a shit about it anyway. It got nothing to do with you, if they annoy you with smoke, just go somewhere else. Most smokers know of the danger, but they are often so pathetically weak willed so they need cigarettes to make through their sad lifes. My point is OP, I don't think they care and so shouldn't you.
Yeah because it's called an addiction for the hell of it. To OP: I'll keep on smoking thanks, it's my personal choice whether to smoke and/or attempt to quit smoking, so butt your nose out. Unlike some, I'm fully prepared for and accept that I will have to face the consequences for it later on in life. Yeah, smoking will kill you, eventually, unless something else gets you first, but it is subjective, some people smoke only for a few years before suffering the ill effect, my grandfather on the other hand has been smoking heavily for 66+ years and he's yet to come down with a smoking related ailment. Excessive alcohol use can damage your liver and kill you, let's ban that, oh, wait, the USA tried that once, didn't work out too well. To all non smokers: Get the fuck off our backs unless someone is breathing smoke in your face, in which case, take it up with them and leave the rest of us alone.
You're being a dick. He's telling to stop smoking for your own well being, to avoid disease and the hardship it will cost your loved ones. But you just continue to be arrogant and stubborn just for the sake of a nice, brief feeling of inhaling some poisonous smoke. I suppose people can sniff petrol too, if they want to. I suppose we shouldn't try to help them stop doing. I suppose everyone should be free to partake in things that are almost guarenteed to cause slow, painful deaths. And nobody else has any right to help them stop. But it's okay, because you have "accepted" that theres an incredible chance you'll have a slow, and painful death, and others should back off because you like the taste.
you got permabanned for trolling week ago
I'm not trolling and will not troll again, it just gets me a bit antsy when people try to justify causing themselves such bodily harm.
let him smoke the sooner he dies the better
But he CAN change that. It's not difficult. I could wake up tomorrow and say to myself; I'm never going to drink a can of coca cola again and I COULD. It's not hard, self-control is all it takes.

He's being a dick by trying to guilt smokers into quitting rather than letting them decide without any influence. How is it arrogance and stubborness to continue to smoke, when it's up to me to choose whether I do or whether I try and quit. Infact, it's the people who throw this sort of shit at smokers that are arrogant ones.
Glad I don't smoke.

I could wake up and say to myself I'm never going to dring a can of cola again, or i could choose to continue drinking cola.

You say it like it is, it's not. Don't look @ yourself now. Imagine in 10+ years when your life is slowly going to be heading towards your ending chapters. Let me say this AGAIN: 5 MILLION PEOPLE DIE EVERY YEAR BECAUSE OF SMOKING. It is predicted that 6 million will die in 2010. How do you know, you're not going to be diagnosed with cancer and become 1 of them statistics.
I don't mind smokers, I just hate the smoke because it makes it so I can't breath if there is even a hint of it.

Plan to have a family later in life? Already do? Please reconsider your decision to smoke for the sake of your family and friends. For all you know, I could have watched a close family member or friend die because they smoked, they themself willing to give everything in the world to go back and just stop smoking. And your "everyone should just look after themselves and not worry about others" is naive and doesn't work. An every man for himself mentality is selfish.

Stop the damn arguing before something happens.
I smoke because of the relaxing feeling i get after a hard day of work or school. I don't smoke because of group press or to be cool or anything like that. School can be stressful and i find smoking a good method for me to relax. Even if i know the consequences of smoking. Its my own choice if i want to smoke or not. I have to admit that i am addicted to nicotine and have tried to quit many times. Its hard to quit smoking and it was a stupid choice of me to begin smoking. But i would like to see those people who says its easy to quit smoking and haven't even touched a cigarette try to start smoking 3 months and try to quit.
Oh damn, now I am so depressed by this article, I'll take one cig to relax k
I'm going to jump on the "leave smokers alone" side of the wagon. I smoke, I enjoy it, I'm aware of the risks. Maybe I'll stop someday, but at the moment I don't feel like it. A lot of you try to compare people smoking regularly to someone who drinks daily or inhales solvents or what have you. But remember that you can smoke and still be a functioning human, whilst if you've had a bottle of Sambuca...not so much.
Actually my life is probably going to be heading towards the ending chapters before that, because of something entirely unrelated to smoking.
If its not to personal, do share, interested. No but seriously Rayven, from a random guy, I'm asking you personally, will the smoking help whatever you have? 10/10 times, no.. It wont. How can inhaling cancer help you whatsoever?

Everybody goes through school and most people will go through work. Not everybody chooses to smoke to relax. The fact of the matter is that there are endless ways to relieve stress that don't cause you as much harm. And I'm glad you can admit to yourself that it was a bad choice, and I really do wish you will and hope you can rid yourself of the habbit, for your sake and everyone around you.
I never kiss smokers.
Christ people, it's everyone's personal choice if they want to smoke and to some it's not since they're addicted and can't stop. My personal opinion is that it's never a good idea to start smoking, the cons (lungs -> breathing and everything lung-associated, everything those cartridges say) outweigh the pros (instant gratification -> relaxant, [bad-assery]). Then again I'm biased, my grandpa (who I never met) smoked all his life, fought in wars too, and died when he was around 50 due to lung cancer. To further continue this discussion, does anyone know somebody who started smoking after they had turned 18?
