Along with a good starter gun, i've been looking for a plate carrier. Does this seem good? It has pouches included in the kit. http://airsoft-club.com/shop/tactical-gear/tactical-vest/molle-combat-strike-plate-carrier-ciras-vest-od
Not sure about the legitimacy of that site, price is a bit sketchy too. Most Maritime (opens on side, land version opens at the front) CIRAS sell for around $100+, and often aren't 1000D. Also, it's not exactly a true copy of the real CIRAS, notice it only has 6 columns of webbing on the front. The real CIRAS has 8 columns, providing more space to mount stuff. The end result is the vest being smaller, looking almost too small on some people. But let me tell you my experience using a Land CIRAS. Honestly, I love it, best vest I ever bought. The only downside is the method of adjusting it. The shoulders and waist each have their own straps that run through the vest internally, each having a series of holes punched in them. The quick release cord is used to string these pieces together, which unfortunately results in a bit of bulge on your lower back. For me this would cause pressure and back pain. I bought some plastic SAPI plates and haven't had problems with it since. Having the plates also makes the CIRAS a lot more rigid and better fitting, so I'd almost recommend them. You're call on this one, don't expect anything amazing for that price, but then again you may just luck out.

It's like the wikipedia of airsoft built into one person.
It tends to happen when you have a lot of experience and have tried out a lot of gear.
It tends to happen when you have a lot of experience and have tried out a lot of gear.
Yeah, I can tell now. haha I'm applying for a job soon. My other one won't start till September, but that's from home, so I can basically work two. So I'll be making at least $10 from the warehouse job, then whatever I make from my editorial job.
Well, would you recommend any other plate carriers?
Are you going for a specific look or do you just want something to hold your pouches and gear?
Pretty much pouches and gear, I'm not really looking for a specific look. Pretty much like I said, pouches, gear and has molle on the back. I was looking at the spec ops one but that's not the type Im looking for. unless this is the same one I was looking at... Kinda like this, http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_171&products_id=2693
I actually just bought that. I love it. Will post once all my pouches and mags come in.
How much are PEQ boxes that don't hold batteries but are laser things and just that?
How much are PEQ boxes that don't hold batteries but are laser things and just that?
I'll give you one for a nickel. :D
But I am like bwitish and I use poonds and pince.
I thought it was quid! Or was I wrong?
That is another word for it yes. Though the proper terms are Pounds and Pence. Then you have Fivers, Tenners and the like.
I have yet to meet another Canadian airsofter on here :saddowns:
Stop forgetting about me :v:
Evike has processed my order and sent it to the shipping center. That was fast, only a day after I ordered and it's in motion. Then again I didn't get free shipping like ASGI so.. ah well.
Would one 9.6v 1200mah battery be enough for an 6 hour game using your ammo conservatively?
6/07/10 - order from evike 6/20/10 - order from asgi 6/24/10 - get order from asgi on my doorstep STILL HAVENT GOTTEN ORDER FROM EVIKE fasgashg [editline]09:31PM[/editline]
Would one 9.6v 1200mah battery be enough for an 6 hour game using your ammo conservatively?
Conservatively like how? 3-shot bursts? Single shot?

Wonderful, I was waiting for that. Thanks Fenriswolf
You got a link or anything to a nice one?
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=22860002&postcount=1 Look at bottom, review of a sight.
Wonderful, I was waiting for that. Thanks Fenriswolf
hitguns > do not buy
http://www.hitguns.com/JG-C90-SMG-Airsoft-Gun-p/jg-p90.htm I plan on getting this. Acceptable? I think I'll need a red dot though, what do you guys recommend?
If they have a built-on red-dot for the P90, consider that as well. They're not very good but they complete the look of a gun and people rarely keep P90's as their primary. They're a phase you kind of grow out of because of how difficult they're to use. (Magazines misfed/unwind and they're so long they don't fit into anything etc) [editline]09:21PM[/editline] I still to this day regret not getting my TM P90 with a Red-Dot. But that's entirely a personnel choice.
Wait, hitguns = bad? Wasn't it in the sticky as okay?
Random manic question; Does a mini 9.6v 1600mAh run the chance of frying my ARES Tavor? In addition, although I don't think any of you would know but a Nun-Chuck/Butterfly battery should fit -better- then a conventional battery pack, correct?
Doubt a 9.6v will fry it, most guns these days can take, and are recommended to take 9.6v batteries. Nunchuck batteries will only fit better than conventional packs in certain conditions, such as specialized battery spaces. Other times they become more of a pain with the extra amount of wire (and cell length in some cases) for some guns. Take my nunchuck battery for example. Works great inside a G36K handguard, but it won't fit in the stock of my SCAR due to it using AAA sized cells and having to stack the 2 sets of cells on top of each other.
