L86A2 Sexy, functional, unique, no shitty micro-switch trigger problems, sexy, and versatile
so airsoft being legalized soon.. http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_WE_WE_AK_PMC_GBB_Open_Bolt.htm not sure if want
eugh dat stock
eugh dat stock
can be changed, folding stock would be better..
You also might not want a gbbr/gbb as your first gun. More maintenance, more expensive, etc. Plus WE is a mixed bag depending on what gun of theirs you get.

Okay.
I want to get a new AEG for somewhat of a support role. How well would the ICS L86a2 fit it? It is either that, or probably an m249 from a&k or something along those lines. Agree for: (ICS) L86 Funny for: (A&K) M249 Late for: Keep searching
A&K M60s are a lot better than their 249s, which have horrible problems with trigger switches catching on gears and an unreliable microphone-activated box mag. The L86 is cool, but it uses magazines, which limits how long you can fire continuously for and requires frequent winding or reloading, and the gearbox isn't as simple as the M60's which makes it a little trickier to upgrade. For perspective, to equal the 3500-round capacity of the A&K M60's box mag you'd need EIGHT 450-round hicaps, and then you'd have to keep them wound up and swap them out when they get low, which could get you killed if you run out at a bad time. It only comes with two, so unless you already have a pile of compatible hicaps throw another $100 minimum on for enough non-jam-happy magazines for sustained fire. In all that comes to about $200 over the A&K Mk43, while $50 or so would be enough to fix up the Mk43's motor and hop-up issues and make it a solid MG. Not that the L86 is a bad gun, it's actually really nice from what I could tell when I got the chance to mess around with one, but it's more a SAW than a GPMG- a gun you treat like a rifle with more ammo that can provide covering fire in a punch, but not a dedicated support weapon. And it's great as a SAW, because the barrel counteracts the bullpup arrangement's weight distribution problem and the overall compact size makes it not much harder to use than a normal AEG. But if you want to be a support gunner, might as well go all the way. I know I'm biased because I've grown to really like A&K's M60s, but I would definitely have to recommend the Mk43 for someone who wants to try a support role. It's relatively cheap, comes with an incredibly reliable magazine, and while not especially great out of the box is very easy to fix up into a killer support gun.
I agree, however, they do make STANAG compatible motorized drum mags for this purpose. I doubt they're as reliable or high capacity as the Mk43 mag, but its a decent option.
cmag/stanag box/drum in armpit NO THANKS [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] also yes a&k mk43 (fullsize m60 if you can deal with the increased cost and weight for style points) with new barrel and hopup mods
No, you don't want. If you want a GBBR AK, get the GHK AKM
i can pretty much say even with tinkering around with my GHK a bit, it's going to be a lot of work to keep everything smooth. the gun was actually having trouble firing properly out of the box, but i lubed 'er up and she was good to go ;) but yeah don't get a gbbr as your first gun
so i bout used multicam fracus that are alittle damaged for 48 dollar

So I'm getting like $1200 back from tax returns. Think I'm gonna buy a Mac-11
So I'm getting like $1200 back from tax returns. Think I'm gonna buy a Mac-11
Not a bad idea, I want to see if I can make a holster for this T77 to use as a sidearm.
Getting ~$170 on my tax returns (all of it was just ffrom working July to September) what to buy?
So I'm getting like $1200 back from tax returns. Think I'm gonna buy a Mac-11
MAC-11 < Gas shotgun.
MAC-11 < Gas shotgun.
To be fair, M11s are much smaller and can be used as sidearms. Also much cheaper.
oh btw my mom won another like $12,000 from the casino last friday i jokingly asked her "lol can i have $1,000" "sure." ..possible Maruzen 870 inbound [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] oh sorry, my mom corrected me, it's actually $15,000 or so
felix MAC-11 is LOADSAFUN, mags are a little expensive and you're REALLY going to want at least 2 more but if you play CQB where i play you have to keep your gun in EMBARRASSING semi auto
I kinda hate semi auto only rules. People still unload on you anyway. Whenever my field had full auto it was kinda better, dumb kids just mag dumped then left 5 mins into a game because they had no more ammo.
