[QUOTE=Araknid;52599411]I suddenly kinda want to get a motorcycle license and some cheap beater bike. going for motorcycle rides with my dad would be pretty fun. What are some good starter bikes (not scooters), up to 260cc (learner permit limitations) so I could get some sort of idea of the type of shit I could have? preferably touring/sport touring. [editline]a[/editline] well some that are up to 660cc are allowed [url]https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/licences/licence-and-permit-types/motorcycle-licence-and-learner-permit/approved-motorcycles-for-novice-riders[/url][/QUOTE] I quite like my F650GS. 37kw, very forgiving bike, easy to handle. Luggage looks good on it, touring on it is nice. Pretty much the same engine and chassis has been used since the 90s and can still be bought today so you know it's reliable. With some offroad oriented tyres they're also decent off road. There's also quite a community of F650 riders online, with tips for improving the bikes or fixing them.
How do I remove old hardened out rear window sealer gunk that was between the rubber and the car its self? its like some kind of plastic and its driving me insane, its in all the nooks and cranny's and its NEEDS TO BE GONE
Alright. So I've cleaned this cooling system like 50 times now. FINALLY GOT IT CLEAN. I zip tied the heater core door open, anddddd.... More cleaning again. [video=youtube;uG3k-fMhQVI]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG3k-fMhQVI[/video]
[QUOTE=joost1120;52594222]It's not really hidden. That's not an obvious manual backup. [editline]22nd August 2017[/editline] I drove 300 miles to see the eclipse yesterday. Made it to Casper, WY in 4 hours. Made it back home in 12. That was the worst traffic I have ever seen, and that includes driving into Los Angeles after the 94 Northridge earthquake collapsed half the freeways. At any given point yesterday, there were more people within 10 miles of me than live in Wyoming. [img]http://i.imgur.com/zEWUieTh.jpg[/img]
I simply watched the eclipse on TV, had to work that day. Anyways, replaced all 32 of my lug nuts, but 'some' aren't staying as tight as they should. Bought a torque wrench finally, set it to 120ft-lbs, it clicks on the ones that i thought were tight enough. Not sure whats up with the few that are loosening.
I stood in my parking lot and looked up. Totality was like 70ish miles away but I had to work.

I have one and it's a fucking blast. Pretty quick for a 250 as well. Plus it's a vtwin, so it sounds decent and has good low end torque.

He's probably the first person to clean out the cooling system on his 30+ year old car
I changed the radiator on my ford the other day, what came out wasn't even anywhere near that. seriously if that was mine I'd just put the hose directly into the heater core and let it run for a while, that's fucking disgusting man.
You should have seen it when I flushed it the first time. It was like some one crushed up a brick and put the dust in the cooling system. 1/4th of the system has been a solid brown material.

[img]https://images.oreillyauto.com/parts/img/large/prs/orly_afkit_051408.jpg[/img] Saves all kinds of headache and you can choose to leave the cap piece in or take it off for use in something else. Best part is all you really need is a washing machine hose or just a short piece of garden hose, 2 female hose ends and some hose clamps. You HAVE TO put it in the hose that goes to the heater core or everything goes wrong, trust me. Drain system, leave rad cap off, fill through fitting till water comes from radiator then start the car and let it idle. It'll move what ever is in the system around to be flushed. Just don't run the hose on full blast unless you want a chemical shower.
Moving the New Yorker I laid an trench in the front yard...I was turning it around to make pulling the engine easier and well It wouldnt move think some collapsed lifters...Ended up just hammering it out of frustration it moved...while plowing two 5ft long tire trackes in the grass.
I just got to see the new 2018 Harley's. I can't post any pics until the 26th, but let's just say they finally joined the 21's century. They're fucking [I]dead sexy[/I] [editline]22nd August 2017[/editline] [QUOTE=Araknid;52602337]That thing looks fucking nice but it's a bit too expensive ($4200 AUD at the absolute cheapest in my state) for what is essentially going to be literally a babbys first beater bike $1500-$2000 is quite alright though, i'll defo take this one into consideration. thanks guys[/QUOTE] You won't regret it. It's a fantastic motorcycle. Reliable, cheap, and super fun. It's also sized decent for normal folk. The rebel is too small for most people. I'm 5'9" and I fit comfortable on my Virago. The only downside is it has next to no aftermarket.
Finished up the exhaust on the Celica the other day.. [video=youtube;wxvwEjnaZx0]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxvwEjnaZx0[/video] And now in honor of taking the week off.. we decided to build a box for my roomie's IS300. It's a PSI Platform 2 15" sub. Sounded great on 1200rms so far.. still need to cover the box up.
Your homie is never going to be able to use that trunk again
I do genuinely enjoy pictures and all, but is there anything wrong with using the thumbnail'ing [noparse][t][/t][/noparse] every now and then, if you have a load of pictures to post? I mean, my scroll wheel gets some sick millage in here, had to change bearings on it twice, since i got it.

It's an epidemic how much space big pictures take up on these pages. I learned too that you can create rows, so that you don't just need to put one picture per row. Just don't hit enter after each url of a picture. Simple I know, but for the longest time I didn't realized it worked like that on here.
I've always had to thumb my pictures. 18 mega pixel pictures are huge.

My phones take huge photos and they'd be horrible to view on here if I didn't.
I guess I'm the other member of the Thumb Club here. It's easy even on mobile. If your image uploader service gives you bbcode, just double tap on the "img" in the img tags and replace with a T. That does it.
I never thumbnail any pictures Sorry :v: [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] Also I'm on a 1440p screen, so I might think YEAH THIS IS A GOOD SIZE when someone on their phone gets absolutely fucking blasted by a massive picture
I don't know if this is the appropriate thread to post this in,but what's the difference between GMC and Chevrolet? Looking at the cars both GMC and Chevrolet offer on the internet and IRL during my vacation in the States it seemed like there was no difference between the two brands.

GMCs are cheaper and usually plainer and lacking some features a Chevy might have, but you can usually option them up to the same level. Other than that it's the same car.
