Does anyone?
I do! The more mud you have on your vehicle around here, the better off you are.
I do! The more mud you have on your vehicle around here, the better off you are.
That's mud though, Its good. Grime and a dirt film is disgusting. Oh it was mud your cleaning? Another clear example of the ball and chain effect.
My car constantly has dirt and mud splatter on it because driving on dirt roads and little mud holes is fun and my cars paint is so fucked anyway Plus I drive a jeep, people are supposed to think I have 4wd :v:
Dropped mom off at work. Turned the corner into the street and this happened: http://facepunch.com/threads/1125332?p=35856386&viewfull=1#post35856386
the "official" says around 7/8.
Ok, thanks a lot. Do you know if that's city, highway or combined?

Could of been worse, it could of been automatic.
meh, I've seen way worse
meh, I've seen way worse
Yeah, it actually looks pretty decent and in great working condition despite it being somewhat a ricer.
I can't wait to get a real momo for my Scirocco. ;p
I don't mind subwoofers and lots of speakers. I love music but it's annoying when people play way too loudly. I'm actually selling the huge subs I had in the Jeep to buy a smaller one for the Golf
I bought my car with two kicker comp 12" subs, took up too much trunk space and weren't even mounted so every time I'd get on it they'd fly around. They were probably highly abused before I got the car and a while back I noticed the cones were ripped, coils were going out and they sounded like shit because the box was falling apart. Tossed them and bought a 10" ported box with a powerbass sub and powerbass 350watt amp. My car still has the stock paper speakers from 1999 in it which have put up to my abuse of blasting music doing high speeds with the windows down. I have to say though with the $250 sub and amp I couldn't be happier. It gives just the right amount of bass to add to the music and you can always turn it up on the deck and play some nigga beats.

If it didn't have the bodykit, I'd rock that all day everyday. I still want a Volvo sleeper someday.

The SUV shape carries bass really well.
Passed my G2 roadtest today, fuck yeah. Afterwards, I drove the Corolla to my high school's autoshop and had a friend help me install the iSimple IS31, which has been sitting around for a while. Tomorrow, he's going to take off the winter tires and put on the summer tires. My mom was about to take it to her mechanic and pay something like $60 for that, which is a little excessive.
On kinda subject of sub's. Im wanting to get the kit together to convert my car to double-din. Then 2 15" or 12" DAD's and some nice mid's with some really nice tweeter's. I hate how car audio around here had just become "How many subs can you fit into a corsa, polo or nova". Car audio, for the most part, is a joke :/ - I'm not saying there aren't those doing it correctly by designing bespoke crossovers and actually using tuned enclosures with proper driver placement but i'm sick of seeing this: Quality > Quantity :)
Quality > Quantity :)
I couldn't agree with you more. But the set-up I'm aiming for is bare minumal for almost PERFECT SQ. Hell the 12" DAD's are used in competition for SQ and SPL! [editline]rdgjgbn[/editline] Ohsi pageking. My man. Twisted. The least they could do is try to achieve good balance using the EQ included in most headunits these days.

You'll want to use a low-pass/hi-pass filter, otherwise the sub will sound like shit. :/
Turns out a full engine swap would be 3 grand :( (thought it would be 2) Just need more quotes or another route. Killed my day though. Don't agree with the headlights but the rest of the car is bitchen; I'd drive it
I have a interview for a job tomorrow, it will help feed the automotive addiction
Ohh god Im a VAG lover. [t]http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr96/motorwerks1/A6/DSC01924.jpg[/t] Damn I wish mine was that clean ;_; Things I need to do. Hail dents, and minor dents. Body: New Front and Rear bumpers + Bumper supports. A "full" sized passenger sized mirror. (Not a euro cant see shit out of mirror) A glass panel for the driver mirror. A whole new rear view mirror. Clean both headlights, reseal them, and take out the yellow reflector. New windshield. New rear licence plate mount. (Starting to crack plus the licence plate is held on my zip ties) A replacement gear selector. Truly figure out why the back driver side window is inverted + 1 touch will not work. New Control arm's. Drive train: Clean out the Throttle Body. Redo both side's of the valve cover gaskets. Redo the rear main seal. Get all new motor mounts. Drop the transmission, change the fluid. Get all new transmission mounts (if needed) Change fluid in rear diff. Change all 4 wheel bearings (or service them) Electrical: Figure out what drains my battery. Figure out why the alternator will not kick in if you turn the headlights on before you start the car. Figure out why the radio will turn on before you start the car but when you crank the car it will turn off and never come back on. Figure out why the car goes into Limp mode when you hit a small bump or if you start having too much fun in the rain. Figure out why my seat belt light comes on only if I have a passenger in the car and I'm not wearing a seat belt. Figure out why my rear interior lights sometimes never light up. Stupidly long post for no reason. Anyone want's to come offer them self's to help me. Please do.
So anyone know of any creative solutions for speakers in my car? I have an old 91' Mazda Miata and 1: The speakers are pretty much gah. 2: No way really to connect my ipod. No line in jack no CD Changer in back. Could I take old speakers and use a splitter from my ipod to the speakers and then use an adapter for the battery to the speakers? Or would that be too draining?
Ok, thanks a lot. Do you know if that's city, highway or combined?
I believe it's combined, you could always go to aeu86 and ask over there, might also be different if you're american because they had some limiters in them for some reason.
