Hello facepunch, haven't been here in a while. Anyway, My band has a new EP out on bandcamp, and we would appreciate it if you guys check it out, and give me some (constructive) criticism, I know my singing isn't the best, so you don't have to tell me that, other than the singing what did you like/not like about the song and why etc... well here it is: http://socialrevolution.bandcamp.com/album/anxiety-ep' take a listen, and give me some feedback
I can dig this. The songs are enjoyable and the instruments really work. You should try doing something with your vocals like distorting them or something. I would also make the vocals a bit quieter. If i had 2 bucks to spare I'd buy this, so there's that.

But I'm actually going into the studio soon, so at least I will have professional mixers and stuff there to do it for me, instead of me winging it at my home studio.
Its pretty good, you sound like billy joe from greenday. Im not saying thats a bad thing though. everything seems to be good

Also he's a Tenor, and I'm a Baritone. EDIT: Does anyone have any suggestions for our band? Like how to get noticed by record companies and to get gigs.
Does anyone have any suggestions for our band? You could also try posting ads and stuff. After you play some shows and have a small fan base going ask around some other local bands to see if anyone has a indie label or something.
The vocals sound a little out of place in the mix, other than I think its good man. And when it comes to getting noticed just put your music out there and play shows, and for getting shows try contacting local bands near you that sound similar or if you're desperate try craigslist lol.
Yeah I'm not good at mixing (and i'm not the best at singing either) well first I need a drummer haha. had one but apparently I'm not serious enough, even though I have spent more money and more time on this than I have on anything else in my life, but whatever. Anyway I've been using a drum machine but it sounds good to me.
Record the vocals twice. Its called double tracking and it will beef up the sound. You could also experiment by putting small amounts of chorus or phaser on the vocals.
you mean backup vocals? or record the lead twice? also like our facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Social-Revolution/248464378539408
