Our last task for the Musical Production class was to record and mix an entire song, with vocals. I'm not a singer, and I rushed through just to get the few lines done that I made up pretty much as I went. I hope you guys like it. I play guitar and bass, sing, and programmed the drums. (I was originally planning to record real drums, but time was scarce and it wasn't possible). Also I realize this isn't really Progressive Rock, but it's mathematical as fuck and I guess you'd love it.

Seeing as Jethro Tull will be performing TAAB in 2012, maybe they'll play A Passion Play live in 2013. :wth:
And then finish up by doing J-Tull Dot Com in 2039
All that's left now is prog dic- OH
I only ever see Atomic Rooster mentioned because of this album art, and I don't know if anyone here's actually listened to them, but the one album of theirs I've got (Death Walks Behind You) is actually very good, and I'd strongly recommend it to you guys. (ELP fans might also be interested to get their first album, since it's their only one featuring Carl Palmer)
They'll be dead by then :saddowns:
don't ever say that man not cool man they'll never die ;_;
The problem is, all the guys from the Prog era are getting really old now, They're on their way out. :saddowns: Right, All learn how to play and we'll resurrect the genre :v:

[editline]28th May 2011[/editline] and it's not just a pretentious thing to say, because Fripp himself wants projects to continue after he has departed. :smug:
King Crimson will never die.
Considering they're like a familys patchwork quilt, they're not going
They wont because Trey gunn and stuff are younger Also Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief, Lunatic Soul, Anathema, it all still exists, just more obscure.
Considering they're like a familys patchwork quilt, they're not going
I'm fairly sure Steve Wilson and Gavin Harrison will keep King Crimson alive. Andrew Belew, Trey Gunn, Mel Collins... the list of possibilities is endless.
I'm fairly sure Steve Wilson and Gavin Harrison will keep King Crimson alive. Andrew Belew, Trey Gunn, Mel Collins... the list of possibilities is endless.
Steve Wilson? He isn't a part of Crimson. Harrison is though. Unless you mean like, the spirit of Crimson. Which I agree with
Steve Wilson? He isn't a part of Crimson. Harrison is though. Unless you mean like, the spirit of Crimson. Which I agree with
You see... Steve Wilson has worked with Fripp a LOT over the past 2 or 3 years to prepare the remasters. And since you know, he is in the same band as Gavin Harrison. :downs: Makes sense to me.

Yeah, he won't become the front man to King Crimson lol. :v: [editline]28th May 2011[/editline] actually realising fronting it will be hard when Fripp is gone. :sigh:
A reminder for you proggers, I'm streaming R30 at 8:00PM GMT tonight I may be advertising this a lot, but only 3 people were at the Dream Theater stream :v:
Can anyone tell me why there a horrible static when I try to play my Close to the Edge or Fragile on my pc? Every other album I've tried works just fine. They're are both by Atlantic. Does anyone else have similiar problems with Atlantic cds? Also, where the fuck is my Sea Shanties. It said 2-5 work days when I ordered it. Now it's been 3 weeks and it still hasn't arrived :saddowns:.

But the noise from the recording is the experience on LP, the noise is removed as well as other frequencies in the CD version. :smug: But you just said the static is on your PC. Maybe something distorted in your sound card, give me a sample on a soundcloud.

It has probably got something to do with my cd drive, I bet. I can't find anything on the subject, though.
Did you rip it from a CD, did you download it? If you ripped it and it's distorted, blame the scratches because they mess up the quality. Downloading encoded content can also result in crappy distortion. I personally never have that issue :3:

I guess I'll just have to manage without them. But I want my damn Sea Shanties :argh:.
