what
From what I've heard, in the Star War novels Darth Maul survives both being sliced in half & the fall, & the bottom of his body is replaced with robotics in the same way that Grievous is part living & part machine.
Here's a pretty well made fan-trailer for a Star Wars novel about zombies.
was a cool book too

So, promotional material finally arises Looks amateurish
So, promotional material finally arises Looks amateurish
That poster looks fucking terrible. It looks like it was just thrown together in 10 minutes. This is fucking Star Wars, dammit. One of the biggest franchises of all time. At least TRY.
EPII and III were shot on Sony's F900 and 950 which means they're 1080p not film, so with any luck Lucas won't try to remaster the shit out of them.
I'll be going to see it anyway, only seen episode 3 in cinema :(
I'll be going to see them in the theatre if I can. I love Star Wars so much... I don't even care if it's in 3-D or not. Seeing them in the theatre again will be amazing. Most likely seeing Episode I, III-VI. I fucking hated II. (Not that The Phantom Menace was a masterpiece, but jesus christ, I hated the second one.)
I'm going to become a director just so I can save this franchise. Life of a conscripted TIE fighter pilot who eases into insubordination. This won't have the happiest of endings. Also, sparingly utilized CG and sets! Sets made of MATTER!

I have a feeling when George Lucas passes away somebody else will remake the original trilogy with "KOOL FX"
I have a feeling when George Lucas passes away somebody else will rem ake the original trilogy with "KOOL FX"
I hope that someone will actually release the UNALTERED trilogy on Blu-Ray someday.
So, a gritty reboot.
No children. No comic relief. No jar jar. But maybe Gungans portrayed in a better light (I'll find a way). No magic lightsabers that cauterize people's halves together upon exiting. It won't be Inglourious Basterds, though. More like Drive mixed with District 9 and the better parts of the new trilogy. I'd say a heavy PG-13 rating, no crazy gore and brutal violence. And skeligandrew, I'll bet forty rubles Lucas puts "Don't fuck with my ART" in his will. [editline]14th October 2011[/editline]
I hope that someone will actually release the UNALTERED trilogy on Blu-Ray someday.
Or leaves in the Sarlacc's beak and the enhanced space combat/flying shit, but leaves out the bucking Ronto, that fucking musical score in Jabba's palace, and other shit like that. Han shoots first, no CG walkie-talkies, and no censored smoke clouds when people get shot. Oh, and Lando's Cloud City announcement gets scrapped.
I hope that someone will actually release the UNALTERED trilogy on Blu-Ray someday.
History taught us that George Lucas will go out of his way to Star Wars. (Neat, feel free to change your avatar for comedic purposes or additional insights)
Darth Maul...returns! http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/10/12/star-wars-clone-wars-darth-maul/
wow, that's like the definition of comic book logic that's like finding a way to bring the emperor back from falling into the exploding death star, though even george lucas didn't stoop that low [editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
So, promotional material finally arises Looks amateurish
I love how the art design for the posters has deteriorated over the years. I mean, compare this shitpile to the original 1970s posters.
wow, that's like the definition of comic book logic that's like finding a way to bring the emperor back from falling into the exploding death star, though even george lucas didn't stoop that low
Star Wars extended universe did, though.
In the series, set six years after Return of the Jedi, Palpatine is resurrected as the Emperor Reborn or Palpatine the Undying. His spirit returns from the underworld of the Force with the aid of Sith ghosts on Korriban and possesses the body of Jeng Droga, one of Palpatine's elite spies and assassins known as the Emperor's Hands.

Star Wars extended universe did, though.
Actually Maul was brought back in a non cannon (but still official I believe) comic book where he tries to kill a young Luke and Ben kicks the shit out of him. Funny because at the time it was non cannon and was he was confirmed dead. More lore rape hooray!
So, promotional material finally arises Looks amateurish
You'd think they would at least include fuckin' Qui-Gon on this poster, amirite? Nevertheless, it is Star Wars, and as a fanboy for life, I will see it in REAL D 3D. Wait a second, what's the first D for? Is it like real dimension 3rd dimension? wtf?
No magic lightsabers that cauterize people's halves together upon exiting.
How is it magic? the Lightsaber is so hot it burns the wound shut as it goes through?
How is it magic? the Lightsaber is so hot it burns the wound shut as it goes through?
And leaves the person in one piece. [editline]15th October 2011[/editline]
Qui-Gon was the worst jedi ever.
Qui-Gon was a fucking pimp-ass nigga and if you disrespect him like that he's gonna take you out back and fucking shoot you
Qui-Gon was the worst jedi ever.
Let me correct myself: Liam Neeson should be on that poster, amirite?
Let me correct myself: Liam Neeson should be on that poster, amirite?
Now when you put it that way...
I honestly hope that some good director will try to remake the prequels in a more proper way. By that I mean we actually believe Anakin can become Darth Vader. I'm worried though because Lucas wouldn't allow his work to be altered even when he's dead. In the end it's his franchise but I'm still sad the guy who made the original trilogy is capable of fucking up the prequels so much and adding so many unneeded things to his original work. I almost suspect he does it to lower the quality of the IV, V and VI to that of the prequels.

With the prequels he could do what he wanted creatively, and look how that ended.

I laughed a little too hard at: "Credits will do fine." "No they won't." (Jedi mind trick) "Credits will do fine." "NO, THEY WON'T."

Not so much for other Jedi powers.
