i hate you george lucas
red tails was better
So Phantom Menace is now the first Star Wars movie to break 1 billion at the box-office
Wait for the rest of them to come out, they'll top Avatar (I hope).
I can imagine 3-4-5-6 will do the best. I've always found the first two just a tad pointless. We knew Anakin was going to become vader, making us wait three movies for ti was a dirty move Lucas you cad.
3 was as fucking terrible as the others though
i hate you george lucas
What's even better is that this re-release of episode 1 pushes The Dark Knight out of the top 10 highest grossing movies ever.
Considering this is The Phantom Menace's second return to theaters, wouldn't it be a re-re-release?
The latest episode of The Clone Wars was amazing, my favorite yet.
Wait for the rest of them to come out, they'll top Avatar (I hope).
As an entire franchise, it probably already has. But individual movie wise, I think it's impossible
What's even better is that this re-release of episode 1 pushes The Dark Knight out of the top 10 highest grossing movies ever.
Needs another million yet. I predict an inevitable Dark Knight re-release one day too, so it'll shoot up again.
i'd go to an imax re-release of TDK [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] i will never go to a re-release of a star wars film tho
i'd go to an imax re-release of TDK [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] i will never go to a re-release of a star wars film tho
Not even IV, V, or VI?
I'm just not seeing the originals in theaters. George lucas has been raping them since 97 and they're fucking horrible in their current state. Guy fucking hates them because he got pulled aside on the project and told that he was a horrible film maker.
Not even IV, V, or VI?
Would rather watch my old VHS tapes than see them in theaters, all of the changes that Lucas made were just ridiculously pointless and make watching through the films a more painful experience than it should be.
I remember a few years ago i saw a star wars fan made movie or series. All i can really remember is that it was about a group of Stormtroopers, just doing their jobs. I can remember at one point they had a snowtrooper inside an AT-AT talking about his job and complaining about the cold. It was a pretty high quality fan made thing. At one point the stormtroopers follow someone into a hanger and they start shooting each other, which i think then resulted in them bringing in an AT-ST. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
I thought it would be Troops when you mentioned Stormtroopers but the entire movie took place on Tatooine
I thought it would be Troops when you mentioned Stormtroopers but the entire movie took place on Tatooine
Just found it, it's a sequel to Troops called IMPS: The Relentless.
My 1995 set has some pretty good quality for all its years of shelf sitting. Is practically laserdisc quality except it has at least one line of static.
What's even better is that this re-release of episode 1 pushes The Dark Knight out of the top 10 highest grossing movies ever.
Ouch. Seriously? I thought that the 3-D re-release didn't gross that much.
Ouch. Seriously? I thought that the 3-D re-release didn't gross that much.
It hasn't, but combined with Episode I's previous intake (about 925m or so) has pushed it into the 1b club.
It hasn't, but combined with Episode I's previous intake (about 925m or so) has pushed it into the 1b club.
I feel kind of bad that I contributed to it.
I feel kind of bad that I contributed to it.
I don't, it's Star Wars, the one thing on this planet I love more than anything (except maybe pizza). I know, it's the fuckin prequels, but idgaf as long as it's not The Clone Wars.
Is George Lucas going to release the rest of the series each year in 3-D? I really want to see them on the big screen again. I've heard rumors that he's stopping.
Is George Lucas going to release the rest of the series each year in 3-D? I really want to see them on the big screen again. I've heard rumors that he's stopping.
That's the plan, and you're talking about his retirement from film, or the 3D releases?
That's the plan, and you're talking about his retirement from film, or the 3D releases?
No, I've heard about both, but recently I heard that he was going to stop releasing Star Wars movies in 3-D after Episode I.
No, I've heard about both, but recently I heard that he was going to stop releasing Star Wars movies in 3-D after Episode I.
I doubt he'd do so considering how much Episode 1 3-D brought in, can you imagine how much the Original Trilogy in 3-D will make?
No, I've heard about both, but recently I heard that he was going to stop releasing Star Wars movies in 3-D after Episode I.
I can understand skipping Attack of the Clones, but 3-6 will make bank at the box office.
Not even IV, V, or VI?
i'll stick with my despecialized edition in HD. i'm not about to give lucas money for what he did to the OT.
So this is how they created the opening title back then
