tell me what you think of crossovers
They're just an excuse to cram front-wheel drive drivetrains into an suv.
Don't cross the streams bro.
New name for station wagons. And I think station wagons are smart.
My family owns 2 crossovers. I'm not too big of a fan. [editline]17th June 2012[/editline] 2005 Ford Freestyle and 2012 Ford Edge [editline]17th June 2012[/editline] My dad is all MURRICA so we only buy Fords. I'm not sure what's wrong with Dodge or Chevrolet, he only buys Ford.
Well it's the same as me being MURRICA and only buying GM. To each their plates :v:

As a whole I hate luxury SUVs anyway

I hate crossovers just as much as I hate when people think they're SUV's These are SUV's This is crossover [img]http://www.jukeownersclub.co.uk/files/juke.jpg[/img] What else than them being tall do they have in common?
They call those SUV's aswell? Haha.
Crossovers are just a scam. They aren't good at anything, incredibly ugly, and always expensive.
They call those SUV's aswell? Haha.
NA just did a few posts ago:
pictures Fucking hideous. As a whole I hate luxury SUVs anyway
The companies themselves call those crossovers The Honda is a crosstour.

oh my god yes worst fad of the 2000's [editline]17th June 2012[/editline] also this is a suv:
When I think of SUVs, I think mainly of GMC, but also the Chevy Suburban, Ford Excursion, and Range Rovers.
I have a cross-over and while I love my car it has limitations. Poor turning radius (each U turn is an adventure), average gas mileage (19-20 city), FWD (denies it power when it really needs it), top heavy (SUV height without benefits of truck style frame), sometimes worrisome clearance (12 inches) and more. That being said so far it's incredibly resilient (left the ground once, got stuck in a ditch, took it hard-pack driving, etc, "drifted" it), starts and runs as well as the day it was made, no creaks or moans, nice interior, can load all of my belongings in it when I move (college/internships), beefy full range stereo and has some cool features. I always wanted more of an off-road vehicle but for a crossover it's a damn fine one.
I hate them. customers at my jobs come all the time with crossovers or cheap smallass suv and think they can fit a fucking rototiller in it. they act all fucking surprised when you can't even fit half of it inside. worst was a guy with a kia rio forte. Small econoshitbox, the trunk was so small, i couldnt even have put my computer in it... He wanted to carry a jumping-jack. lol idiots
My boss just bought a new Mazda CX-5, 5 speed manual. I'm usually one to hate on crossovers, but after driving it for an hour during our lunch break I'm fairly impressed. It has very sporty handling, a nice, stiff, responsive clutch, and it shifts like butter. I was very much reminded of the handling of a Mazda3 hatchback, but with a good 10 inches of extra suspension travel, which made cornering fun and interesting. Plus, it's kinda nice not having to slow down to enter a sloped driveway, and it loves speed bumps.
yeah I've heard good things about the CX-5, it's also the only good looking car Mazda currently sells
What about the RX-8? I think that's a real nice looking car.
What about the RX-8? I think that's a real nice looking car.
But it's smiling.
...I thought they weren't selling the RX-8 any more?

I'm already imagining hearing electroshock jumping throught those roads going up and downhill.

Because it really does look like an exaggerated car from GTA.
Crossovers are awesome in my book. Because before crossovers, people who wanted something bigger than a car, soccermoms etc, started buying perfectly good utilitarian vehicles, like trucks and SUVs. And in order to cater to this new market, auto manufacturers started watering down trucks and SUVs to cater to people who were in the market for a big car, IFS, lower ground clearance, designing future models for comfort over function. So now that crossovers are eating up that market, hopefully manufacturers can stop neutering trucks and SUVs.
yeah I've heard good things about the CX-5, it's also the only good looking car Mazda currently sells
Whaaaaat? The Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 both look badass. I prefer the NB/NA Miata's over the NC, but the NC certainly doesn't look bad. And the Mazda 3 sedan isn't too horrible either.
