no wonder why the show is going under, with all them breaks people are forgetting about the show because it on for 1 week then off for 3 weeks.
Fox Mulder at the airport, 1997: flashes his badge and gets a private escort to a different terminal. Metal detector goes off when he passes through it while carrying two pistols and talking on his cell phone? No problem, flashes his badge and the airport guy lets him take a peek at his X-ray. (The X-Files, Season 4, episode 18: Max) Olivia Dunham at the airport, 2012: Tries to stop bad guy, gets stopped by TSA. Flashes her badge, is a terrorist.
Yeah, I kind of questioned why Olivia was stopped dead in her tracks by the guy's threat to get his supervisor... I'm pretty sure the FBI has authority beyond airport security.
Well, that was a fairly confusing episode.
I liked it.
Holy shit. [sp]It wasn't alternate universes merging, but it was timelines. Now we have a fucked up Olivia, but what's worst is that this may have messed up Olivia from the main timeline, which is a bad thing. Fucking Jones, messing with alternate timelines now. Also in the next episode Peter fucks alt timeline Olivia. Probably.[/sp]
[sp]I'm pretty sure that Jones was in fact merging the universes together, the universe Peter is in is Universe 3 and the one that's being merged into it is Universe 1[/sp]

As in our universe of the alternate timeline? I still think it's timelines merging though, I mean, how come alt-timeline Olivia remembers things our Olivia does (the case she mentions, the ending of the episode)? Though... That may have been because of what Nina is doing to her. One thing for sure, I don't want Jones and Nina fucking up timelines even further[/sp]
[sp]When Peter came back, he was thrust into yet another universe, this episode pretty much confirmed that it's a 3rd universe with everything that was occuring. Then the alt universe that exists in this universe is a 4th universe. Yes, it can get a bit confusing with all of these universes but that's how alternate realities would work if they existed.[/sp]

There are 2 time-lines with 2 universes each, don't mix up the lingo.
Oh god this weeks episode holy shit so awesome. [sp]I liked how there was a sex scene in the opening scene[/sp] [editline]12th February 2012[/editline]
Fox Mulder at the airport, 1997: flashes his badge and gets a private escort to a different terminal. Universe/Timeline 1 is the 'main universe' and is from season one. Universe/Timeline 2 was featured heavily in season 2 and three. Universe/Timeline 3 is created when Peter creates a bridge between Universes 1 and 2, merging them together at the end of season three and pushing him out of existence. Universe/Timeline 4 is the one that Peter is thrown into, being the main focus of season 4. Universe/Timeline 5 is the alternate version of 4. (the universe where Walternate is actually good)[/sp]
[sp]I think we can rule out 3 since it's technically not a new universe, it's just Universe 1 with the second one merged into it.[/sp]
[sp]So it's easier to have them as Timeline 1 - Universe 1 (Normal Fringe) Timeline 1 - Universe 2 (Alt Universe) Timeline 2 - Universe 1 (No Peter) Timeline 2 - Universe 2 (Alt Universe w/o Peter) Though the universes in timeline 2 may be a single universe, as each universe usually has a unique intro - Normal one has blue, Alt one has red, but all of season 4 episodes have been amber.[/sp]
[sp]I think we can rule out 3 since it's technically not a new universe, it's just Universe 1 with the second one merged into it.[/sp]
[sp] Yeah and when that happened it created a brand new timeline, one without Peter - so it's safe to say in Universe 3, Peter never existed. [/sp]
[sp] There are 6 different intros One starts red and then goes blue (Both Universes) , Grey (Future) , Orange/Amber (Season 4) Retro (1985) , Red (alternative) , Blue (Old main Universe) - Easy to google.[/sp]
Okay so then technically there's still only 4 universes since the Retro scenes count towards our universe. Though, you could probably discount the future too since I doubt that's going to be making a come back. I'm unsure as to why you even brought up the intros.
Correct? Picture is a bit spoilery.
omg Olivia Dunham from universe 63
Ew, long johns.
I want to-- oh the things I want to do to her. Also, this thread should be subtitled "Fringe thread v.1 - oh god everything is spoilers"

God damn it, can we just drop spoilers? It's a bitch to read anything in this thread :c
Teaser for next episode airing on Friday the 24th: Thumbnail is a spoiler, so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Cx8efav9n8
What the fuck, That narrator sounds horrible. The show is probably getting cancelled D: http://www.metacritic.com/feature/tv-renew-cancel-odds-for-bubble-shows-feb-2012
can't say i'm surprised this season has so far been of no importance to the overall story they're just trying to get back to status quo
It's pretty much been on cancellation watch since Season 2. I'll be sad to see it go especially considering how much they dropped the ball for this season, I mean it's been almost nothing but standalones. If it does get renewed, I hope it's a shortened 13 ep season so that they can focus on telling the god damned story.
Please no, I love Fringe. [editline]17th February 2012[/editline] If they do cancel, I hope they are able to wrap up the story nicely.
That was a great episode. Peter and Olivia moments abound. Now then, next week's episode. HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT.
Aside from fringe, this is my favorite Anna Torv performance:
