(though I guess the film doesn't require that much advertising)
That's probably what Warner Bros. thinks. Besides two trailers and 6 minute intro that movie has no marketing. I don't know is it good or bad. They could learn from Prometheus, that movie has some great campaign.

The movie has been classified as a PG-13:
I think we all expected that The Dark Knight Rises would receive a PG-13 rating, but now we know why! Straight from Warner Bros.’ Exhibitor website comes the rating for “intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language”. I think we can assume that Catwoman will be bringing some sensuality to The Dark Knight Rises. Language too? Maybe Bane will drop an F-bomb. For comparison, here are the official reasons for the PG-13 ratings for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight: Batman Begins – intense action violence, disturbing images and some thematic The Dark Knight – intense sequences of violence and some menace And if you’re looking at the image above and wondering what’s under the “synopsis” tab… it’s currently blank. We’re still waiting for Warner Bros. to release an official plot summary. My guess is that’ll come some time next month, maybe along with trailer #3?
http://batman-news.com/2012/04/08/the-dark-knight-rises-receives-a-pg-13-rating/ http://www.nolanfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=9142
thats sad
some sensuality
Dark Knight was PG-13 i don't see any problem.
I don't mind it that much, but I'd rather have it being rated R or something
If it was rated R it would make significantly less money, probably.
Not exactly sure why it would need to be R rated anyway.
well, it's just a personal preference, nothing really that important.
No point in it being rated R, PG-13 usually fits the bill perfectly. Shit, it could probably be PG for all I care, considering what used to be PG material back in the 80s.
Dark Knight did a lot of dark and messed up stuff in it for being just PG-13, I have faith in Nolan.
I couldn't see it being anything other than PG-13. It's not Nolans taste to add too much swearing or gore to something like the Batman franchise.
Dark Knight did a lot of dark and messed up stuff in it for being just PG-13, I have faith in Nolan.
Exactly, Nolan knows how to have "darker" content in his movies without you ever seeing it. Like when the Joker slams the guys head down so a pencil goes through his eye.
I have a feeling that we'll be getting a full-on Bat-Blitz after May 4th. As popular as Batman is, he's not going to go up against the Avengers. They know this. Let Marvel have their fun, then BOOM, BATMAN OWNS EVERYTHING THAT'S LEFT. I'm CERTAIN that a new trailer will arrive within around a month's time (incoming rainbows).
i dont think avengers will be that popular and tdkr has the populartity of tdk going for it. avengers will probably be a really average action flick with horrible writing for the characters
I'm looking forward to both, but I'm pretty sure TDKR will win at the box office.
Anyone else buying a batman suit for the midnight release? I assume it will hype people up and get me to the front of the line.
I thought I'd share this with you guys: [editline]9th April 2012[/editline]

Gosh, lets not start I think that if you like the brighter comicy type feel, then The Avengers will suit better. If however, you like a more realistic, less colourful feel to a movie, then TDKR will suit fine I generally like superhero movies so I'm going to watch both. But I'm biased towards The Avengers because I just love Robert Downey Jr.'s comic brilliance as Tony Stark

I think TDKR Is better because batman
and because nolan batman does not make a film good (looking at you batman and robin)
Batman will DEFINITELY be a better film, but The Avengers may be a little more enjoyable, because it's made purely for that.
Who gives a shit? There's two months between the films, not like it's gonna affect their intake. Now, I'd be more worried for Spider-Man, considering that opens almost the same time as TDKR.
"Batman or Avengers, well I LIKE THIS ONE MORE..." NOOOOOOOOOOPE.
batman is objectively better than anyone in the avengers
batman is objectively better than anyone in the avengers
well, if we want to get REALLY technical here... I mean, in the comics, Hulk LITERALLY broke the planet in half...
