I remember when I actually built my cardboard ODST armor a few years back for a Halloween game.Tied for first place in the costume contest. Built it in a little less than 2 weeks, with nothing but cardboard, duct tape, elmers glue, black spray paint, some random straps and some string. Got beat up pretty good from the game though. My friend used it the next year as his costume for Halloween. 3 of us in my engineering class wore MGS4 style PMC loadouts.
For just cardboard thats pretty sweet.
Hah, yeah I remember you posting that Ender. How well did it last the game?
I started working on a more detailed version last year, but dealing with school work took most of my time and I just couldn't get into mood to be a maniac at cutting cardboard. All I finished was the chest piece, which I will say I'm pleased with. Still have it too. I actually finished it, minus the slide due to tolerance issues.
Oh damn, that gun is looking awesome.
Hah, yeah I remember you posting that Ender. How well did it last the game?
Surprisingly well, but the upper leg plates didn't last. The string holding them to the belt kept breaking or tearing through the cardboard, so I ditched those. The rest of it took a beating, those shoulder pads withstood multiple bashings as I ran into trees. I'm debating making new ones just to attach to my CIRAS, they were kickass and served a practical purpose.
I might wear my airsoft gear again as well. Last year, I got away with bringing my handgun around. My friend's neighborhood, where we went to, let the squatters in for some reason so I carried a loaded mag separately, just in case. I wasn't actually going to shoot anyone but you never know with them squatters.......
I want to play airsoft in a banana costume.
I remember that Ender, I saved it cause I thought it was so cool. For future reference, wouldn't a paintball mask make a good Halo helmet?

Better just to make a good looking helmet from scratch and mold a motorcycle visor into the shape needed, as they do with most of the nicer Halo helmets. Alright gents, it's Halloween finally. My Halloween is spent differently than most of yours. I set up a gazebo and give out candy, hot dogs, snow cones, barbecue, hamburgers, sodas, play music (have a band coming this year), all while dressed as Shaun Riley and faking a British accent. Will post pics and keep you updated later.
Whelp, went to Halloween party. Everyone was shitfaced drunk, left. I just don't find that appealing at all.
I'm walking around in my One night stand costume, and my friend is going to be walking around in a "good in the sack" costume that he bought.
I have to work tonight so I'm not doing anything.
Going trick-or-treating like a cool guy. Probably just going to wear my airsoft shit.
The Hitler 'tache drawn on by the girl your with is how you should roll i sieg heil'd every car and even got a load back off random people in the street... that was pretty awesome
My friend was walking around the city wearing the mask that looked like Hitler, got a bunch of strange looks and some random girl started talking German to him.
Time zones mean that by the time I read this, Halloween will have been yesterday. I wore my awesome soda drinking hat and passed myself off as a sport spectator.
fuck year got lots of candy. like half of the houses said we were too old but gave us shit anyway. the oldest guy i was with is 19 and is in the army :v:
Eh my friend borrowed my ski mask and my friends baseball bat on the way to get his ps3 games, and went to a few houses, oh god the looks on peoples faces.
We sort of did a reverse trick or treat. My friend would bring up an actual door to the houses door. His door would say "Please Knock". We rang the door bell and when the people in the house opened their door only to see another door they were like "what the fuu..." then knock on the door. My friend would open his door and pretend the people in the house were the trick or treaters and give them candy. It worked out great, the neighbors loved the idea. I got video and pictures of it I'll put up later.
Wow, that's actually bloody brilliant.
I think I know what to do next year.
Watched the Walking Dead, trying to resist buying a gas revolver. Also went to a Haunted House with my girl, got ambushed by a guy wearing a ghillie suit. Jesus Ender you are a fucking genius. Your reward is 2 internets. Enjoy ruling society.
I saw that in a comic somewhere. Wanted to do it this year, but doors are expensive and my friends didnt want to give away candy. I went in my WW1ish / Stalker loadout, was kickin' rad.
Well it wasn't my idea, it was my friends, so he should take all the credit. He was just walking around with his bedroom door that he took off, wasn't a spare door or anything. But Halloween in my neighborhood was piss poor. My parents said only about 10 groups came to the house the whole night. Out by my friends house there were a shit load of kids, and even a homemade haunted house which was quite well put together. The line was a half hour wait for it. I decided to dress up as a MW2 fag as Ghost, just to see what sort of responses I'd get. Had this stupid little 8 year old asian kid run up in front of me saying "Hay I know you! You're Ghost from MW2". Kid got a kick out of it, but it scares me to think kids that young are playing these games already. I think one other teenager knew I was Ghost, while everyone else just labeled me with soldier, police, or commando. One lady thought I was from the Hurt Locker, don't see how my loadout even related to that. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of my loadout from that night, but I do have pictures of my friends with the door. I saw a kid with an AK, I'm still confused.
I decided to give out candy to little kiddies wearing a Ghost loadout "You're that guy from Black Ops!" So it seems kids who play Call of Duty don't know what Call of Duty is :wtf:
