I like M81, but I think it's getting kinda overused, but it's still a pretty effective camo. It works great for where I live, but I want to get some Flecktarn for fall and winter. I think it looks pretty good with OD equipment: Don't mind the clearsoft gun, I painted that black and it's actually a decent rifle, they just didn't have black in stock at the time when I bought it.
I like M81, but I think it's getting kinda overused, but it's still a pretty effective camo.
Thats why M81s and DCUs are great starter camos. M81 does fine in the woods, and DCU does fine in the desert, and both are dirt cheap.
Individual skill doesn't mean much when you out like a sore thumb outside of an old couch or a rock quarry. I dont disagree with the being tired of seeing M81 part, but I at least try to buy patterns that are unique but still effective. [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] But hey, if you like it, its your game. Play it however you want :v: [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] Also, Portuguese vertical brushstroke [img_thumb]http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/timebmb757/gallery_103_114776.jpg[/img_thumb] and East German Rain camo are two of my other favorites. [img_thumb]http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/timebmb757/FTX%202009/P1000785.jpg[/img_thumb] Ignore me making a "th" sound in the first pic and the goofy goggles in the second :v: [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] CADPAT is also really nice in NY springs/early summers. [img_thumb]http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h4/timebmb757/P1000950.jpg[/img_thumb]
Where do you get your gear from? You have some pretty unique stuff.
Where do you get your gear from? You have some pretty unique stuff.
All sorts of places. I dont think any of my uniforms have come from the same place other than my M81 and DCUs. [editline]30th October 2010[/editline] Mostly other people, ebay, and special orders though army surplus stores.
Came across someone using that East German Rain camo today. I thought it was a solid OD uniform at first, until he shot me. Walked by then I saw the tiny little lines on it. Man that was confusing especially in the dark space he was hiding it.
I'm starting to like Polish Pantera now for some reason.

I say if you can get the gear, go for it. I've yet to see a single Polish loadout. Plus the poles are cool, I work with several of them.

Its EXTREMELY effective in any wooded area and one you wear it in a bit, in grassland-type areas as well.

And I'm not sure if I should get an M4 and make it a GROM loadout or try to make an AK look like a Beryl
Anyone using A-TAC Camo or seen it in use. I see that Propper is going to start offering it on their ACU's. ---> A-TAC Camouflage
The new Slovenian version of Multicam called SLOCAM is pretty cool [img_thumb]http://www.shrani.si/f/41/Q4/x1PMRYM/1/uniforma.jpg[/img_thumb]
Why is everyone getting their own version of Multicam now?
I'm guessing that we're doing it because our politicians decided that we haven't wasted enough money for our new Patria AMV's :v: It can't be about having our own pattern, since we already have the yugoslavian offshoot called 4-colour woodland jigsaw and we've used camo from other countries before (US 3 colour desert)
I like that version of Multicam a lot.
AOR1 and Auscam. Fuck yeah.
I have always wondered why we have our guns painted black when black sticks out like a sore thumb.

Also Latvian camo is pretty badass.
I have always wondered why we have our guns painted black when black sticks out like a sore thumb.
Because when you issue an Army a firearm that firearm may be going to any number of places. So if you decided to say, paint the gun tan or coyote brown for the Middle East, then the troops in The Pacific, Germany, France and Russia would also be issued tan guns which wouldn't fit at all in Jungles, Snow and Forests. It's easier to pick a flat base color and let the troops in operation customize the gun however they please.
Multicam guns :v: :suicide:
I like the A-TACS Camo. I would post pics but i dont know how to.

A lot of soldiers still paint them desert colours though.
-ship, wrong thread, reposting in other one-
Wrong thread. The price is right though.

A lot of soldiers still paint them desert colours though.
despite what people say, having tan stuff doesn't necessarily make it harder to spot infact, due to the way light is refracted in deserts, bright colours are much better at camouflaging stuff in the desert see: British tanks painted yellow/blue/purple during WW2 also seems to explain Jordanian Security Forces wearing blue DPM
Also pink. The British painted their jeeps pink during an attack. I read that on here in Daily Life I think.
yes, Desert Rats were notorious for having bright pink jeeps while it may sound gay as hell, you could not see them atall past ~200M

Ya it blends quite nicely.
