What about Rusty Cooley's Dean?
That is quite possibly the single most badass guitar EVER
What about Rusty Cooley's Dean?
Awesome... but why is that humbucker tilted?
Awesome... but why is that humbucker tilted?
To bother OCD people. But I wouldn't know why, so lets just leave it at why not have it tilted.
Good lord, I cannot wait to buy one of these kitsets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0pzBSUg_9M&feature=related Some insane overdrive.
Squier Stratocaster.
Then you should be fine, mine's is a bolt on so that could be the problem.
How good would you say yours is? Does it sound good? What are the EMGs like?
I said i had the Low end version, The LTD ex 50, but still same shape and shit. When i get another guitar im gonna get some Bareknuckles in it. FUCK YEAH BAREKNUCKLES!!!! And don't just go from hearsay, remember to check the guitar out in person if you can.
I just found a Dean Dave Mustaine VMNTX for $300, should I get it?
I just found a Dean Dave Mustaine VMNTX for $300, should I get it?
They are all 300, I got one, it's great.
They are all 300, I got one, it's great.
Even in Canada?
I just got back from a Michael Angelo Batio guitar clinic... Talk about playing fast, and awesome. Should have brought my guitar and got it signed but I didn't :saddowns:
It depends, if you play metal and shit alot, youll probably want better pickups, alnico if i remember correctly is supposed to be bluesy, and makes for a low output softer pickup. If you want metal tones try bareknuckles. Infact try bareknuckles anyway they do alot of different stuff, and i've not seen a single bad review about any of thier pickups yet.
Thanks, yeah that;s what I wanted to know. Um, probably just general stuff, majority being hard rock metal's great but impossible/hard to play
Metal isn't really hard to play if you stick to it
Well I've been playing for like three weeks, seems like an impossibillty atm
Well I've been playing for like three weeks, seems like an impossibillty atm
Well in about 6 months you'll think you're the shit, then in another month or two you'll realize you're not and want to quit. Stick with it even if you feel discouraged and then you'll be fine.
I intend to, half of my friends think that they are "The shizit" because they can play a couple of chords after 3 months of playing. it's really quite frightening D:
Well if all they can play after three months is a couple of chords, they may as well give up now.

You go through a short period of "Holy shit, I can play guitar, I'm awesome", followed by a very, very long period of "Holy shit, I suck balls."
I've been playing for almost a year now, and I still don't know all the chords, but then again I never took the time to learn them all anyways... :P
Well if all they can play after three months is a couple of chords, they may as well give up now.
I'm not telling them that :v:
Probably sooner.
I'm not telling them that :v: Wow, that's what everyone told me is every guitarist depressed or something? 800th post :v:
We're not depressed, we're just being realistic. I've only been playing for about a year. I'm not even close to being good. I went through the "I can play guitar, holyshit I'm awesome" phase in about March. I've passed through the worst of the "I suck balls" phase and now I'm in sort of an "I'll get better if I keep at it for a while" state of mind.

Now I'm at "God I suck" and I'm considering getting into Bass, just to try something different. I might get a new amp, instead, though.
Sounds like something I thought would be eventually gratifying will throw me into a spiral of self hatred and pity Oh well
But if you spiral for long enough, you'll be able to feel the gratification as you climb back out of your spiral.
