no one takes the fight to america anymore. I don't have anything to go look at.
My dad metal detects, we have too much coins in this house, but i think the one he is most proud of is a golden Celtic. He's also told me once that someone he was with dug up a landmine so this guy hit it with his shovel before throwing it into an adjacent river. I wanna do some relic hunting, but there really isn't much to find in Michigan. There weren't that many battles here. Luckily, I live in a village that was founded in the early 1800's so there's bound to be something in the woods, even though they may not be war relics.
I live on what was once a huge American Civil War hotspot. We find musketballs and forks and shit all the time, and when they were digging up the woods behind us we went detecting and found a confederate saber. Always nice to have a confederate obsessed history nut for a neighbor when you live in Virginia.
I live in South Carolina where the first shots of the Civil War were fired and the State that played a crucial role in the Revolutionary War. [thumb]http://www.civilwar.org/battlefields/batterywagner/maps/charleston-defenses-map.jpg[/thumb] I know damn well I could find some neat stuff.

That's so cool, I wish I lived in a country that has been ravaged by war in the past
True, But I live in south Texas which was very far away from the fighting.
Texas Revolution. Goliad has shit coming up from the battle there all the time. I remember once they found a mexican cannon buried under there
I live in Arizona. There ain't shit out here.
Damn, you should definitely go out and search! Should I post some of the most amazing ww2 finds in the op?
Yes you should. I would really like to get into this stuff but I don't know of any locations to find old relics. I am on a military base though, old spend shells and crap lays everywhere but that doesn't interest me.

i have a metal detector lazing about in my room, but no good places to take it, this being California. i might take it to the beach and go coinshooting one of these days.
Don't you think I'm aware of that? And I don't think they fought for me I'm black...
yes because when allied soldiers fought they did so because they hated black people totally
I wonder how anyone can look at memorial items from someone who died in the fight for their freedom and think "oh lol just another dead guy who cares"
It's because most Belgians don't care... we are not the kind of people to love our country and the history of it . We don't hang our flag outside because we're proud of it. No one here would like to go fight and die for our country. That's how Belgians are....

The great European nations kinda created Beglium to fight it... That's a fact... And only real reason that america joined was because the japs attacked pear harbor. otherwise you guys would have been to late... But yeah what do you guys know from Belgium... only thing you know is Brussels spouts, beer and french fries (actually is Belgian fries). try to find good fries in France Impossible!
This looks really interesting. I wish I could find some stuff. But alas, I am in Las Vegas, so i dont think there would be anything worth finding in the desert outskirts besides some scrap metal.
