I'm a poor ass money wise but damn I got me some nice guitars! Prs MM Baritone 6 string 27.7 scale silverburst : [img_thumb]http://belfieldmusic.com.au/images/baritone.jpg[/img_thumb] I can do EVERYTHING with it! Currently having it in a octave lower setting on drop E equipped with an BKP Painkiller in the bridge which I did ship from england to germany :buddy: I mostly play my own music on that thing, covers got boring over 2 years ago for me heh! Then I have this baby.... The prestige heritage elite (I got damn luck they put the wrong price on that beauty and I got it new and fresh for 399€ original it was around 2399€) [img_thumb]http://www.prestigeguitars.com/images/guitarsforweb/large/heritageeliteburstlarge.jpg[/img_thumb] Holy shit :buddy: Two awesome acoustic guitars worth over 1000€ And so on.. I mostly play deep tuned groove metal (no djent style) more the slower asshole riffage style experimental :3: Writing an album currently and throwing away all the ideas from the past and all that. I forgot to mention that I am only fu**ing 17 and I got all of that! Never had the money just didn't spend anything ever that I got and now I am going to have these babys forever! Also I am getting 18 on 14 march I'm happy!
I meant how much will you have to spend on a bass.
I meant how much will you have to spend on a bass.
Oh wow I drifted away heh.. I will get an yamaha rbx for 350€ in white, I like it because the sound is rather cold and neutral! Suited for distortion and all that
Oh Darkslicer, you so crazy.
I can't wait to start my custom "frankenstein" build, nothing to do with eddie van halen.. just in the sense that it's all put together using parts I buy or find wherever
So what's your cost estimate on all this?
Oh wow I drifted away heh.. I will get an yamaha rbx for 350€ in white, I like it because the sound is rather cold and neutral! Suited for distortion and all that
Have you looked at the SR series by ibenez?
Oh Darkslicer, you so crazy. So what's your cost estimate on all this?
I'm aiming to spend less than £300 but a chunk of that price will be pickups alone. I want quality wood too but I also want it pre-painted so I just need to find an old debuilt part and hope it goes cheap. I want the guitar to sound good but I also want it to be what I see in my head so I'm focusing a lot on aesthetic too. I'd say less than £200 on everything except the pickups is my goal then I'll spare £50-100 on some decent used pickups. I really really want Texas Specials but my friend has offered me stock fender pickups with a single coil DiMarzio humbucker wired for the bridge, I'm not a huge fan of HBs but having one on the bridge isn't a huge issue because I rarely use it. mid-bridge is awesome in HSS though.
I think I enjoy playing music more than I enjoy listening to music.
Dont come with that shit again please
Line 6 spiders are the best amps in the whole world, fuck you orange amps you sound like peace o shit jazz crusty armpits
wow that's rude your scorn will be the end of the human race
Line 6 everywhere! :v: By the way! The next Call of Duty is beeing made by Line 6!
i feel sick
When I was trying out guitars at G4M, I used a Line 6. To be honest, its clean sounds weren't half bad. I didn't like the distortion though.
The clean is fine and then comes distortion i mean horriblestortion
When I was trying out guitars at G4M, I used a Line 6. To be honest, its clean sounds weren't half bad. I didn't like the distortion though.
Yea it takes ages to learn to finally set up the line 6 It took me 2 damn years to find out which settings do what because sometimes other settings are inbound in the mids and shit.. But put an 10band EQ behind your amp then you can do everything with that distortion! Love it. Quickly setup I got this on my baritone : Then there's this with my old prestige guitar : [editline]10th March 2011[/editline]
The clean is fine and then comes distortion i mean horriblestortion
:saddowns:?
But put an 10band EQ behind your amp then you can do everything with that distortion!
Or you could use the clean channel and put another amp behind it! :v: Eh, who am I kidding, I use software modelers because I can't afford a triple rec, too lazy to even buy a hardware unit. Speaking of which I am this close to giving up on Guitar Rig for anything distorted. Twangy shit, fine, cleans, fine, good effects, fine, but the Uberchall model and the dual rec model both sound really samey and not all that good and that's about all you get for crunch.
I'm so impatient. I really want to get paid so I can start working on this custom build. Being my first build it's gonna be way fun. I'll be sure to take pics or make videos of the progress.
[IMG_thumb]http://i51.tinypic.com/29l1dnk.jpg[/IMG_thumb] [IMG_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/52yqux.jpg[/IMG_thumb] My guitars and amp. The amp is alright, but it was cheap so. :) The Strat on the far right is not mine though. It's my friends that has been at my house for the past 6 months and I just wanted to put it in the picture.
Who likes my tone? :saddowns:
It's scarily bizarre how much John Mayer sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughan in both guitar playing and singing. [editline]11th March 2011[/editline] I just bought the body to my custom build.. Already has a couple of scuffs but it's gonna be a lot more than scuffed when it's finished. Total paid towards build so far: £42.50

I've had no issue getting really thick metal tones with Guitar Rig 4. I've also had no issue with distortion.

Congratu-fucking-lations.
I'm aiming to spend less than £300 but a chunk of that price will be pickups alone. That's a fun idea, I guess, looks like I could grab a blemished LP body for $130, generic neck for $110 or less and a handful of crappy parts and have an abomination for $300/400. Guess I'll keep an eye out for parts from here on in. It seems like there's some interesting stuff floating around eBaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Really? I've had no issue getting really thick metal tones with Guitar Rig 4. I've also had no issue with distortion.
It's not so much that you can't get one it's that by the time I've doctored something up that sounds tolerable it sounds like, well, Guitar Rig. I can't get any heavy tone out of it that's not identical to every other heavy tone I'd get out of it without external tweaking. Contrast with Amplitube, where the different metal heads at least sound different (even if a couple are spotty as hell.)
I only have a crappy p&s picture, I'll get some pictures tomorrow on spring break (week of playing, YAY). This is a bit old, it's much more dusty. I promise to get some kind of "photoshoot" guitar pictures done. [editline]ohiiiiiiifuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckiiiiiiiiiyou'reiiiiireadingiiiiithis[/editline] I should also mention that the wooden monster cable pictured above has broken. My bassist stepped on the tip by accident when I unplugged my guitar at the end of a performance. It works to an extent; It'll cut out if you move it wrong. That has been pretty embarrassing when it cuts out in the middle of a song, and you can't get it back.
Minor upgrade to my G&L, I want to keep it as stock as possible but I felt like these pot knobs looked nice on the guitar instead of the typical tophat style knobs. Reference for originals here: http://i.imgur.com/jl8pU.jpg
Who likes my tone? :saddowns:
Sounds like drone metal. Which is to say, pretty good for a Line 6. You need to get an HD500 I had one for a while and it really blew all the other Line 6 products I've tried out of the water. (Except for the Pod X3 Pro but that's just because you can run more rigs at once on a X3 pro and it has bass models; the HD500 sounds better for guitar though)
am I the only one that likes the shape of bc rich warlocks
They're okay, I prefer ESP AXs though. But, I am not really a big fan of either really.
They both look disgusting
You are aloud to discuss more than guitars here. Bass talk his also heavily encouraged. Remember this. Sup, just continuing from the old thread [img_thumb]http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs406.snc4/46909_442730197296_519657296_5223303_613531_n.jpg[/img_thumb] That's my gear still as it is, I haven't added anything to it and in all honesty I feel very pleased with my current setup.
I have that spider :allears: Also gimme dat coke [editline]11th March 2011[/editline]
am I the only one that likes the shape of bc rich warlocks
I like them, thank Max Cavalera for that
