Anyways I've got nothing to post here since this post your computer, not post your desk and my tower isn't worth photographing since it's facing the wall.
Ajacks, do you even play games?
Ajacks, do you even play games?
Not anymore, Me and my girlfriend played the new L4D campaign last night but besides that I haven't touched a game in about two weeks, and that was just a LAN game of Age of Empires III with the girlfriend. I'm to much engrossed into my 3D work that games just don't satisfy my time anymore. My next computer will be a workstation, I'm keeping my eyes out for a Quadro FX4800 that is reasonable. I've found that making money is just so much more enjoyable than playing games, it's nice to love what you do.
Airflow makes no sense.
It's an Antec 900, there's a huge fan right above the CPU cooler blowing air up and out the top. The rear fan is set to low speed, the top fan is set to max speed.

my setup... the two large screens are for my 920, and the smaller one is for my 860, my white keyboard is for my 860, the black for my 920. My cable management on both builds are horrible, especially on the 860 build. 920 build specs: CPU: Core i7 920 @ 4.2 GHz GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 275s SLI'd MB : ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 (LGA-1366) RAM: 6GB DDR3-1,600MHz @ CAS8, 1.65 Vdimm. pic 860 build specs: CPU: Core i7 860 @ 4GHz GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 4770 RAM: 4GB DDR3-1600MHz RAM @ CAS9 MB : EVGA P55 FTW (LGA-1156) pic and some of my random mobos and some ram, I plan on putting that zotac mini itx board in a Xbox 360 elite case (broken)
When you have a fan larger than your motherboard you need to rethink your computer setup.
I'm getting a 5870 soon, and I might have around $100 to pick up a new motherboard. Should I?
to be honest, it isn't worth it, unless it bothers you, or affects your airflow.
It does bother me. [editline]01:59AM[/editline] I guess I'll pick up a Crossfire board for future proofing.

I'd get a i5, i9s tbh is going to be a "renderers dream", i don't think its going to do any better than the clarkdale i7s (32nm) in gaming etc although....

Q9550 isn't slow at all. What is it clocked to? I got mine to 4.25
Stock, I haven't gotten around to overclocking it. :sigh:
