Do the same for me too Maybe put it in the OP, since this one isn't banned? [editline]12th October 2010[/editline] Do the same for me too Maybe put it in the OP, since this one isn't banned?
I just un-jailbroke my iPod. All I do with it is music, Deleted all apps. So I could have more space.
Posted this in the other thread but this is apparently the new one, so:
iPod Touch or iPhone or iPad?
goddamnit greenpois0n isn't working, now i have to restore my ipod touch because of the darn DFU mode
Jailbreakme worked for me, got an awesome theme and an NES emulator. I recommend for everyone to jailbreak.
what the fuck. apparently the ipod touch i have is a 2g, not a 3g. i asked for the 3g when i traded in my old 2g at the apple store.. those fuckers ripped me off
goddamnit greenpois0n isn't working, now i have to restore my ipod touch because of the darn DFU mode
Nonono, there's a program called RecBoot (google it) which can get your device out of DFU mode
Or you can use TinyUmbrella
Well with as promising as this Greenpois0n and limera1n sound as being a "permanent" jailbreak breakthrough, i bet it still takes just as long for new jailbreaks in the future. :/ ...and can't any jailbreak team stick together and keep releasing stuff? (geohot not included) It just seems the next jailbreak is by a different dev team every time... :/
Geohotz has always been a narcissistic asshole. Sure, he does great work, but he's quite conceited and stuck on himself. iPhone-Dev and Chronic generally try to collaborate on their releases and exploits.
Have been trying to jailbreak my iPhone 3G with Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 to iOS 4.1. It installs fine, but after reboot it still asks for a valid SIM card even though I've chosen to Activate in Sn0wbreeze. Some technical info from f0recast: Baseband: 05.12.01 Bootloader: 6.4 Model: MB489 Jailbreakable: Yes Unlockable: Yes Tethered: No Firmware: 4.1
Anyone? Should I try again with greenpois0n/l1merain/redsn0w?
greenpois0n turned out to be shit. It doesn't work.
greenpois0n turned out to be shit. It doesn't work.
It does, you just need to be patient. I had to restore five times before it successfully managed to jailbreak my phone.
I don't know what you guys did, but it worked for me on the first go. [editline]13th October 2010[/editline] And my baseband remained at 1.59.00 thanks to TinyUmbrella
It does, you just need to be patient. I had to restore five times before it successfully managed to jailbreak my phone.
Why did you have to restore it?
does redsn0w support mc models yet? my ipod is so boring without custom shit
does redsn0w support mc models yet? my ipod is so boring without custom shit
resn0w will NEVER support MC models.
Will greenpois0n work with iPhone 3G/iOS 4.1?
Yes
Doesn't seem so, it won't detect the phone in DFU mode. iREB confirms that it is enabled.
I just successfully used limera1in to jailbreak my iPod Touch 4th Gen. I can't use Wi-Fi right now so I can't install Cydia yet.
resn0w will NEVER support MC models.
what, on the new redsn0w beta it has an option for mc models, but it fails because of a bug that's being fixed. (apparently)
why wont my ipod touch 3g on 4.1 jailbreak with greenpois0n
Why did you have to restore it?
Because 1) at the first try I accidentally put it in recovery mode 2) the other tries weren't successful (white cydia icon etc.)
Should I use greenpois0n or limera1n? I currently am using limera1n and it works fine.
Because 1) at the first try I accidentally put it in recovery mode 2) the other tries weren't successful (white cydia icon etc.)
You can get out of recovery mode by using the program called "RecBoot"
Everyone who is worried about greenpois0n should just use limera1n since it works perfectly fine.
Guys, I updated my iPod Touch 2G to 4.1 without doing anything special, of course I wiped it and such but what do I do now? Just get and use limera1n?
If it isn't an mc model, then yes
