Like the above, I have a iPad 2 and I accidently upgraded to 4.3.5, I have no SHSH Blobs, is there no way to downgrade/jailbreak the current version on my iPad 2. (I have only found iPad 1 so far)...
There was a "beta" downgrade on the web some time ago, but it really bricked your iPad 2 (Screen freezes forever) so do not try that. 1. Tethered 2. Wait for iOS 5 3. Take the risk and downgrade to 4.3.3
Okay I'm new to this thing, tethered? What's tethered/untethered?
Tethered means that as soon as you reboot your device you'll have to re-jailbreak it. untethered means you're free to reboot and what-not.
It's right in the OP, please read it.
Tethered means that as soon as you reboot your device you'll have to re-jailbreak it. untethered means you're free to reboot and what-not.
so if you reboot while it's tethered, is it sorta quasi-bricked until you rejailbreak? Or does it just start up in regular vanilla iOS mode
so if you reboot while it's tethered, is it sorta quasi-bricked until you rejailbreak? Or does it just start up in regular vanilla iOS mode
I'm pretty sure it's in the OP - but I think it goes back to vanilla. I never tried.
I wish there was an app that could do flash within safari (AND works with 4g) Oh, I have an iPod Touch by the way

Be warned tho that your iPhone can turn pretty hot because for some reason it is using your CPU and memory on max in that mode... What should I use to JB my Ipod Touch 3g?
Frash, from cydia then?
Its on Cydia but you need to add a repo, google it. I don't know the repo out of my head [editline]14th September 2011[/editline]
What should I use to JB my Ipod Touch 3g?
What is your OS?
4.3.4/4.3.5 is tethered so you should wait for iOS 5. I got 4.3.5 but i jailbroken mine tethered, hehe i am really used to the jailbreak and can't sit a day without the SNES emulators :v:
Yeah, 4.3.5. Care to link me to the jailbreak?
Alright, iPad has arrived, let's boot it up and check it's firmware for the jailbreak. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Dam it's 4.3.5
Alright, iPad has arrived, let's boot it up and check it's firmware for the jailbreak. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Dam it's 4.3.5
Your choice Tether jailbreak or wait for iOS 5 I am not traveling much and my iPhone is always going to School and some other places, i also take my charging cable with me, i got 4.3.5 and i tether jailbroken it As soon the battery dies i plug it in my PC and 5 minutes later everything is working again
So, can you downgrade a 4.3.5 iPad 2 3G to a other firmware?
So, can you downgrade a 4.3.5 iPad 2 3G to a other firmware?
Nope you can't, i tried lots of things but none worked out
I don't mind a tethered jailbreak but I've got a iPad 2 3g, I believe it's aint supported correct?
Oh right, sorry did not saw that. Yeah its not supported yet, pretty sure they will also make a version for the iPad tho
Oh right, sorry did not saw that. Yeah its not supported yet, pretty sure they will also make a version for the iPad tho
So would I need to downgrade to jailbreak mine? Or can I go straight from 4.3.5 for a tethered one. I have the wifi model.
So would I need to downgrade to jailbreak mine? Or can I go straight from 4.3.5 for a tethered one. I have the wifi model.
I think its not possible to downgrade from 4.3.5 to anything lower then 4.3.4 Apple currently signs iOS 4.3.5 and 4.3.4 they are both pretty much the same in most ways and they are both tethered only. But then again, if you are near a power source all the time, or you are using it in your home alot. Then i would just say to update your iOS to 4.3.4 and install Redsn0w. [editline]e[/editline] I found a possible way to downgrade your iPad 2 3G/WiFi from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 to do a untethered Jailbreak [release] 1. Download the required iPSW file from here. 2. Once you’ve downloaded the required IPSW file, put your iPad in DFU mode. If you don't know how to put in DFU mode, read the next edit 3. Now open up TinyUmbrella and click the 'Start TSS Server' button. 4. Launch iTunes, choose your device from the left sidebar. Hold down the left “Shift” key if you’re on Windows or hold down the left “alt” key if you’re on a Mac and click on “Restore”. A new pop up will open asking you for the location of the IPSW file. Now navigate to the IPSW you downloaded. [/release] [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] DFU Mode: 1. Connect your iPad into your PC 2. Shutdown your iPad 3. Hold the power button for about 3 seconds 4. Then keep holding the power button, but also press the Home button 5. Hold those 2 till the screen goes black 6. As soon it turns black you wait 1-2 seconds and you release the Power button, so you only got the Home button pressed 7. Now wait till iTunes or Windows/Mac says they found a iPad (namehere) in DFU-Mode

But thanks for the guide, I'll give that shot later on this week when I'm back at school if I don't go with a tethered jailbreak.
Tried, didn't work. Thanks though, I got a this device isn't eligible for the requested build
Is there anyway to restore without deleting the profiles? I want to restore the iPad to 4.3.4 but I already accidently restored 4.3.5, and its a school iPad (I need the profile for wi-fi access and shit), what DO?
I don't think you can downgrade but you can always reinstall the profile!
First thing i would say is that you should make a back-up using iTunes Secondly, you cannot downgrade unless you got the SHSH blob from 4.3.3
I can reinstall it, HOWEVER I don't have it, and if I say I "accidently" restored my iPad (saying I'm going to jailbreak ruins insurance), they'll probably get suspicious
Hey guys, i'm on 3.1.3. I have lockinfo, and cydia keeps downloading the cracked one from sinfuliphonerepo even though it's working fine. Other than uninstalling that source, what can i do?

Then first remove all data before sending it to apple, if you cannot make it work. Then they also can't Many people where afraid of jailbreaking being afraid that their warranty would fall. but they won't [editline]19th September 2011[/editline]
Hey guys, i'm on 3.1.3.
