Oh great, Winterboard has some kind of conflict and won't install. I know that Cydia is going slow right now but Winterboard just won't install due to that. [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] And Five Icon Dock needs iOS 3.0 or below? Since when?
Just download Springtomize, lets you customize that and more easily.
Just download Springtomize, lets you customize that and more easily.
Doesn't that cost money?
Can a 4s owner here on FP create a siri proxy server please?
Doesn't that cost money?
Oh scrap that then, last time I remember installing five icon dock I was on iOS4 so I'm not sure why it requires iOS3 now. I don't see anything saying iOS3 on the cydia page either.

It says "Depends" and after it "iOS Firmware < 3.0"

Just google Siri proxy, this is something that no way would Apple even consider adding to the stock iOS.
I hope I'm not the only one with this problem, but when I try to install winterboard it says that I need preferenceloader, libhide which I guess weren't installed or need to manually installed. Anyone else having any problems like this? And yes, I'm stupid with this stuff :(

I have a feeling it's because I haven't been able to upgrade my essentials, which I suppose might be caused by the huge load on all the stock repos.
Oh cool, 45 new posts I wonder if a 4S 5.0.1 jailbreak came out! ... Nope, just people having problems...
I can't connect to my iPod via SSH, the toggle keeps turning itself off in SBSettings.
I can't connect to my iPod via SSH, the toggle keeps turning itself off in SBSettings.
what state is your ipod in now?
Saw that a 5.0.1 untethered was out so I finally updated my iPod Touch 3g (from 3.1.3, I'm stubborn as fuck), the only thing I don't like is I can't find a setting to turn off the always-run-every-program-in-the-background thingy [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Also zodttd is back up hooray
what state is your ipod in now?
What do you mean what state? Do you mean jailbroken/not?
What do you mean what state? Do you mean jailbroken/not?
yep, and is it alright? in dfu mode? or recovery? or in a normal state?(can be used) [editline]28th December 2011[/editline]
the only thing I don't like is I can't find a setting to turn off the always-run-every-program-in-the-background thingy
can you rephrase? i might know of a tweak but i don't quite get what you are saying
If you run an app and then close out of it, it will stay in the little tray that shows up (I don't know the terminology, I feel like an old person) when you double tap the home button until you physically delete it from there, which I assume uses up battery life
It's perfectly fine, it's in a normal, untethered, jailbroken state.
you need to ssh for? because there are programs that does the same thing as ssh but is a lot simpler and easier.
you need to ssh for? because there are programs that does the same thing as ssh but is a lot simpler and easier.
I was wanting to transfer stuff via SSH but I don't need to now as around an hour ago (when I posted the thing) I downloaded iPhone Explorer and transferred the stuff via that.
I was wanting to transfer stuff via SSH but I don't need to now as around an hour ago (when I posted the thing) I downloaded iPhone Explorer and transferred the stuff via that.
use ifunbox, best. or through ifile's web server.(cick on wifi icon in the app). these make it simpler too
use ifunbox, best. or through ifile's web server.(cick on wifi icon in the app). these make it simpler too
I would use iFile, Springtomize etc but you have to pay for them.
All we need now is a proxy.
try Springtomize for ios 5. app's 2.99, can disable multitasking as well as lots of stuff. but not sure if there's a trial.
I'll look into it, thanks. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] I finally get stuff from zodttd and now bigboss is down god dammit [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Or being slow anyway, it's pretty hit and miss
I can't connect to my iPod via SSH, the toggle keeps turning itself off in SBSettings.
Firstly, did you restart after installing SSH? Secondly the only program I managed to connect via SSH is CyberDuck.
Sounds a bit demanding but if anyone has a Siri proxy do you mind sharing it with me (with PM)? I only bumped against private Siri proxy's
OK instead of filling this thread with "pm me with proxy servers" lets just wait for someone to post that they have one first
