Content: http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/copyright/docs/ipr_strategy/COM_2011_287_en.pdf The latest OECD study (2009) estimates that international trade in counterfeit goods grew from just over USD 100 billion in 2000 to USD 250 billion in 2007. USD 250.000.000.000,- dus in 2007." "Infringers of IPR deprive EU creators of appropriate rewards, create barriers to innovation, harm competitiveness, destroy jobs, decrease public finances and possibly threaten the health and safety of EU citizens. A study carried out by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) stresses that losses caused by counterfeiting and piracy could reduce EU GDP by EUR 8 billion annually. Counterfeiting also generates large profits for organised crime groups and distorts the internal market by encouraging illicit practices within businesses." "The Commission will identify ways to create a framework allowing, in particular, combating infringements of IPR via the internet more effectively. Any amendments should have as their objective tackling the infringements at their source and, to that end, foster cooperation of intermediaries, such as internet service providers, while being compatible with the goals of broadband policies and without prejudicing the interests of end- consumers. The Commission will ensure that such amendments respect all fundamental rights recognised by the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, in particular also the rights to private life, protection of personal data, freedom of expression and information and to an effective remedy. " "The EU should also be in a position to ratify the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)56 once it has been signed by the contracting parties in the course of 2011. ACTA, which is fully in line with the EU acquis, is an important step in improving the international fight against IPR infringements, in cooperation with countries sharing the same concerns and views. The Commission will table its proposal for an EU decision to sign the agreement in the coming weeks. " :ohdear:
Wouldn't that be a good thing? That's how you get a promotion.
Yeah. Until you screw up and just showed the department head you suck. Haha, it went completely fine that, she told me she was incredibly impressed. All the people were impressed too. I will post pictures of my lab and you will see why. It has a lot of fun toys in it that look impressive. Makes it easy to make up stuff to talk about.
Wow. So I just tried 3ds Max (that I got from the student thing)... And about 45 minutes of dicking around and learning the UI and how to manipulate objects... Fuck, this shit's easy! It's the nose of some sort of flying contraption I'm planning on making. Edit: Only part I dread getting to is texturing... I've seen textures laid out on a 2D surface and it looks really confusing... :v:

Soooo many times I have made something and I am think it turns out great... and then it just explodes down the shitter...
I gave up on the game idea I had a few days ago. Now I'm just planning on making images with it. If I make any mistakes in texturing, I can just fix it up when I add other effects in Photoshop.
Apparently my friends want to look up what blue waffle is. Ha ha ha.
Some dicks at my school were googling that. They asked me to look at it. It wasn't THAAAT Bad. Still disgusting.
Wow, that sure is motivating. :v:
I'm sorry. It just always happens! At least you aren't trying to export it to a game right? If so, good luck! It really isn't that bad, I promise. Just takes some time to get used to all the tricks and tools.
Its really funny because they have no idea.
Its really funny because they have no idea.
No, he knows. He was just being sarcastic.
I don't know what that is either, but that doesn't mean that I'm computer illiterate. (I suppose it's a shock site of some sort)
I don't know what that is either, but that doesn't mean that I'm computer illiterate. (I suppose it's a shock site of some sort)
blue waffle is a vaginal infection the website is a picture of it

Computer illiteracy here: How many computer would you be able to put Windows 7 retail on? Just one, right?
Alright, my first paycheck coming in -- Expected to be over 200$ not bad for a high-school student who has only worked 1 week.
Computer illiteracy here: How many computer would you be able to put Windows 7 retail on? Just one, right?
yeah, but if you got the family pack, it would be like 3

All I got was pictures of waffles. My friends were severely disapointed that they forgot safe-search is on by default.
Kind of funny how Microsoft just bought Skype and now they've already assimilated it into Microsoft and are removing features from Skype. That was fast.
Kind of funny how Microsoft just bought Skype and now they've already assimilated it into Microsoft and are removing features from Skype. That was fast.
What have they removed? I haven't noticed anything yet.
They're removing Skype for Asterisk.
Just did a quick search - Maybe i'm missing something but what use did skype have for it?

http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/05/24/6709033-russian-forensics-firm-cracks-iphone-encryption Oh dear.
Just did a quick search - Maybe i'm missing something but what use did skype have for it?
It was mostly used by hobbyists, but it was Skype's only chance to succeed in the business-sector. Now you might as well set up a standard Asterisk server and roll out Cisco SIP-phones and softphones on computers if you're a business.

So, not five minutes ago I was helping a friend set up a public folder. When I tried to tell him to create a folder called "Public", he tried to rename his C drive "Public".
