I tried to make a DIY stand for my tablet, it's not the greatest looking thing but it works. yes it does hinge. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gl7mM4T.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ak8FOg4.jpg[/t]
I think that looks pretty OK personally considering it was probably made by someone who doesn't so woodwork for a living. I've got this thing anyway where I don't particular care what it looks like (bar it having something like a swastika printed on it) as long as it does it job properly.

if you guys were wondering, Telegram is actually a really nice messenger platform
if you guys were wondering, IRC is actually a really nice messenger platform
I absolutely agree.
the thing about telegram though is its designed to only allow the participants to see what's going on in a conversation, and even hides it from the guys who run telegram if you so choose I'm not saying we should all migrate to it, but if you have a friend or two who wants to ONLY use telegram then it's pretty damn nice
Please tell me I was not the only one that though he was talking about actual telegrams?
Please tell me I was not the only one that though he was talking about actual telegrams?
Gonna be honest, I'm with you here.
Please tell me I was not the only one that though he was talking about actual telegrams?
For once I knew it wasn't.
Are olde timey telegrams even still a thing?
I used telegrams before it was [del]mainstream[/del] obsolete
Are olde timey telegrams even still a thing?
The very last traditional telegram was sent last year in India. http://theweek.com/article/index/245752/the-last-telegram-ever-is-about-to-be-sent The last one in the US was sent 2006. It still exists to some extent but more for retro and nostalgia's sake.
if you guys were wondering, Telegram is actually a really nice messenger platform
It's basically just like What's App but free (no subscription required at all), available on multiple platforms (PC, Web browser, your tablet, multiple other devices all logged in at the same time) and has the ability to send files up to 1GB. It has usernames so you can add people and share it to others so they can add you without sharing your phone number in the first place. Although you still need a phone number to initialize it. Now to find more people to actually use it with...
if anybody is interested:
i will give ONE WHOLE ONEPLUS ONE INVITE to whoever sends me a hedgehog picture i have not seen before
Whenever I read something about some crypto related software, I read an article an article a short while later about how the mentioned software's implementation of crypto is flawed and unsafe.
Depends on how the universe works.
Do I have to reinvent the universe first to create a proper crypto implementation?

here's the way i treat crypto if it touches a server, it is inevitably readable end of story [editline]29th December 2014[/editline] heh, crypto, lordcrypto
Unless it's your own server.
Unless it's your own server.
assume everything is compromised, then you never have to worry about anything you don't want being seen ever existing on a server
I still prefer self-hosted solutions. Then I am atleast 100% in control of my shit.
here's the way i treat crypto if it touches a server, it is inevitably readable end of story [editline]29th December 2014[/editline] heh, crypto, lordcrypto
The "secret chats" apparently skip the server. but who the fuck is going to use that i mean seriously
everything is compromised even the human brain can be easily decrypted using thermorectal cryptanalysis
