[del]Linus is doing a garage sale of sorts on his live stream right now of all sorts of stuff w/ shipping to US/Canada, so if your looking for some stuff you might get a decent deal[/del] Over now.
I don't like watching Linus anymore, I watch more Tiny Tom Logon and Tek Syndicate.

Tek and Linus, that is. Never seen Tom. [editline]13th February 2015[/editline] Merge :(
Don't know if I mentioned it, but Google Takeout is great. Downloading 400GB of videos off my YT channel to fill in some videos I lost over the years. Google keeps the original files you uploaded on their servers.

My god the price people want for Celeron embedded boards on ebay if fucking absurd. More than the board was new!!
That moment when someone fucks with the QuickTime preset in Avid, aka always check everything in the render settings before you render unless it's your own machine and no one else uses it. Gotta love getting a larger than expected file and flipping out over it :v:
My god the price people want for Celeron embedded boards on ebay if fucking absurd. More than the board was new!!
What.

Why would you use a Celeron for anything other than Microsoft Office and Skype? Even I consider them to be complete garbage.
Why would you use a Celeron for anything other than Microsoft Office and Skype? Even I consider them to be complete garbage.
You know I host a TF2 server on a celeron. 24 slots at 64 tick and it ain't even fucking sweatin. Now this is a very old celeron too. [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] Celerons aren't bad these days they're a lot more better then the old ones at least. If you couple one up with a bay trail or a sandy bridge HD IGP then you have a very lovely low watt low heat HTPC. Celeron NUCs are a thing for a reason. They don't need to do anything else but be a HTPC or as you say an office application or skype. Casual gaming, sure and I'm fairly confident that a Source engine based game would run fine at medium settings at 720p which would be fine for casual gamers. Hence their cheap as fuck.
My only exposure to Celerons was from the Slot 1/Socket 370 days and they were terrible. Straight-out junk. To this day I will deny they're any level of a performer because just about anything can do better than a Celeron, because....it's a Celeron

They're actually ok and afaik the new ones that are going to come out will support 4K on hardware encoding with out an issue. So imagine having a $270 nuc with a 128GB SSD and it being able to do 4K and still support a fully functional Windows OS. That's damn good value if you ask me, and as I said it will have some gaming power for casuals. (we're talking like source engine shit and some quake not metro 2033)

Buy cheap celeron, good cooler and non shitty motherboard + ram and you could overclock the processor to spank even the top tier Pentium 3 processor while being approx 25% cheaper. The P4 era one's were turds, they got better again from core2 era and onwards.

And a weird motherboard that takes both DDR and DDR2 but not simultaneously. [editline]14th February 2015[/editline]
Its a joke.
How is calling someone an uncultured fuck a joke?
Overreactions are funny to some people because...... I dunno some people just find them funny for some reason.

Uh guys, I'm not entirely sure if this thread is literally Around The Horn with that banter talk...:v:
Why are file sharing services mostly shit? Mega is slow as fuck, google drive is horrible if you want to sort through files (and also pretty slow), One Drive is the fastest (still p slow) but all I get is a percentage counter. Why do devs insist on hiding simple info? Like, on google fucking drive, all I can see about my drive is how much I've used, not how much I have left. To make it worse, it only tells you "woops, not enough space" AFTER a file has uploaded. God damn.
Google Drive also fucks up ÆØÅ, and god forbid you use ö or ä, that'll make the file path unreadable until you rename all the files. At least it did for me.
One thing that really fucks up ÅÄÖ and other versions is facepunch. How the fuck can something like that break postediting?
