Hello FacePunch, What is the best? Windows 7 or Windows 8? Why is Windows 7 better/Why is Windows 8 better? Bring up some good arguments ;)
There are pros and cons for each, and you'll more than likely end up getting two polar opposite opinions on the matter. The best way to determine if an OS is better in your own opinion would be to set up a dual boot of Windows 7 and 8 RC.
If you have a tablet or touch device get windows 8 If you have a desktop or laptop get windows 7 Windows 8 is best to be experienced on a touch device tbh keyboard and mouse just doesn't cut it
I don't want to switch over to Windows 8 because Windows 7 is good and I'm familiar with it.

Since there's no tutorial included yet, this might be hard for some new users. But once you've learned the basics, Windows 8 is quite simple with a mouse and keyboard. The best way to find out which is better is by dual booting. Since 8 is free, why not legally download it and try it?
You don't actually have to use the new stuff in Windows 8 not that I'd recommend doing that. If you choose to ignore the new start screen you can get the same functionality as with Windows 7 only it's much faster and better in many other ways.
I didn't want to let go of XP, when deep down in my heart, i know it was time ... Buuuut, i eventually got the hang of 7, and now i am gonna stick with this for ... 6-7-8 years. But, keep this in mind:

It's not a rule that makes sense if you have to call some good versions shit, some shit versions good and skip out NTs and 2000
It's not a rule that makes sense if you have to call some good versions shit, some shit versions good and skip out NTs and 2000
NT and 2000 were never targeted for the mainstream consumer market.
NT and 2000 were never targeted for the mainstream consumer market.
Due to ME's failure 2000 became the alternative for the mainstream market. So while NT 3 / 4 probably wouldn't count, Win2k should.
NT and 2000 were never targeted for the mainstream consumer market.
So wasn't Windows 7 Professional, but it's on the picture.
Oh holy shit, it was a joke!
Windows 95 was the most revolutionary of them all. How can it be shit?
It's not, It's the author of the image that is retarded
Oh god windows 95 was the first OS I ever used and it was installed in a 1GB hard drive. It took 15-20 mins to boot it and I always had my fingers crossed hoping that the system would not freeze but it always did. Too much nostalgia.

Always looked forward to seeing "Starting Windows 95" in its place.

Because I was able to find games faster in there :P

Windows 2000 (not included) gave the base of NT which got popular and people started using that instead of ME because it was simply better (ME was shit, gave you back the malware you deleted and just wouldn't work) Vista after SP1 works fine, it isn't shit, it gave us aero instead of a fisherprice theme or boring office gray. Windows 8 is good for touch devices and yes probably keyboard and mouse inputs but I would prefer it with touch, but it is definitely not shit.

Although in my experience, SP1 was still shit, but SP2 was amazing. Fixed all my audio stuttering issues.

If I wanted to get a new computer I'd chose vista, I still love it for some reason, the interface is just perfect I love the windows live era feel.
Windows 7 is better, because it came before some retard invented the 'metro' interface on Windows 8. Windows ME and Vista are the only truly shit version of Windows. Windows 2000 pro isn't listed and it was the best for it's time. Windows NT 4.0 was stable but it lacked a few things Windows 95 had.
