that just shows the range it's in, low/mid/high
This. Nvidia doesn't have an extensive array of products for their customers. ALso, why bother with the 6xx0 series. Nothing innovative will come out for atleast another generation or two. This is a holding pattern now. So who ever has the best card at the moment, will make the money. Like the x1k vs GF8x00 scenerio a few years back. With the HD4 series, we saw GDDR5. With the HD5 series, we saw DX11. What can we possibly see in the HD6 series that will be innovative?
gee, they're both so hard to understand it took me years to get my head around bigger number = better obviously ati's numbers are easier to understand because, uh
Because they don't change it every 5 months. Also because they got completely rid of the confusing GTX XTX XT PRO GTS GTO whatever the fuck does any of this mean bullshit.
GTS series is only GTS 250.
Nope, the GTS 450 is coming really soon. Hint: Search "GTS 450" at Google.
Nope, the GTS 450 is coming really soon. Hint: Search "GTS 450" at Google.
how the fuck is that confusing?
how the fuck is that confusing?
it might be if you're 7 years old
The price drop on the 5*** series will be worth more for the average builder, than the 6*** will.
Yeah, I can't wait. I'm going for an upgrade soon, I want that 5770. Currently running an nVidia 8800GT.
5770 is godly with source, averaging 100fps is awesome.
still waiting for a nvidia card that outperforms my 295 to justify purchase.
there are a few that beat the 295 now [editline]01:24AM[/editline]
5770 is godly with source, averaging 100fps is awesome.
I do that with my old 9800GT
I do that with my old 9800GT
At 1920x1200?
5770 is godly with source, averaging 100fps is awesome.
what is this 2007 no one cares
Yeah, I can't wait. I'm going for an upgrade soon, I want that 5770. Currently running an nVidia 8800GT.
I got the 5770. About to cross fire these things too. Its a nice card for a HTPC level card. Beastly, but not the best. But for $140? You get a hell of a performance punch out of it.
Nope, the GTS 450 is coming really soon. Hint: Search "GTS 450" at Google.
lol what? GTS 450? [editline]08:40PM[/editline] oh it is a fermi. GTS prefix fooled me. Anyway, I hope that GTS 450 will be like $150 or less .
This winter might be the time to buy a crossfire board. 4850's will plummet I hope.
gee, they're both so hard to understand it took me years to get my head around bigger number = better obviously ati's numbers are easier to understand because, uh
Well, the re-badging can be confusing at times and takes advantage of the ignorance of consumers. Like the time they renamed the 210 to the 310. No specifications were changed.

People who look for good graphics cards are actually going to care what goes in the computer as opposed to your average every-day user
Justified as the 3xx series are OEM only. People who look for good graphics cards are actually going to care what goes in the computer as opposed to your average every-day user
No fucking way, Mr. Obvious.
At 1920x1200?
Yes, it can actually do that
So wait, is Southern Islands being manufactured at Global Foundries or TSMC?
