I guess I'm the only one who thinks those boards look horrid.
That's pretty much a matter of opinion. Personally I dislike flashy or overcomplicated things and I avoid them at all costs. Saying this I'm currently typing on a Model S Ultimate and I love the aesthetics and basic functionality of it.
Umart and pccasegear.com are the best sites in Australia. PCCG has excellent prices and ships Australia-wide.
In my case, it was $13 cheaper to buy from AusPCMarket than PCCaseGear because of included shipping vs additional

I was seeking backlighting for practical reasons; I can't touch-type and often keep my room dark (fucking screen glare).
nooooooooooooooooo plz work anyone know where I can buy these? sorry for flash [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] It's a ducky tenkeyless [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] Would anyone here with a corsair, steelseries, das, WASD or razer (or any others with good US based support, I suppose?) mechanical mind checking their keyboard stands to see if they're similar? I have a feeling I could contact them to buy replacements if they would work. If it looks somewhat similar, I would love you if you took a picture and maybe measured the length and width for me. Thank you so much. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] I've been researching this, looks like CM has the closest looking ones that I've found so far. If anyone has a CM mechanical, please give me measurements. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] cooler master, that is
Those should be universal-ish. Mine always break off, I never get new ones :C
Just bought my Razer blackwindow ultimate today- and as always it takes time to get use to the keyboard - but going onto the device it selfs it amazing i love the backlit light functions and i also enjoy the macro on the go and the easy to access media keys along side with the USB on the keyboard and the 2 jacks audio and microphone... Its amazing and i really can't see many other keyboard companys to compete with the strength and power this keyboard has to offer its purely amazing.....
I can't seem to find any mechanical keyboards that have a nordic layout. It's a bit of an issue since there are two norwegian letters that are used quite a bit, that are not found on regular EU or US layouts. Are there any places that sell mechanical keyboards with nordic layouts?
you could probably just buy any mechanical and then nordic keycaps
Or just get a board with blank keys and laser/CNC the letters on yourself. Though you might not have access to anything that can do that, then in that case go with what Odellus said.
Well, i managed to find this site: http://www.keyboardco.com/ Turns out they have swedish/finnish layout keyboards. The only difference between those and the norwegian layout is two letters (Ø and Æ). I don't really care about that as long as all the symbols and stuff are the same though. The question is: are Filco keyboards any good?

Good news. Had a lycosa (LOL) sitting around and its feet fit! yay! Still, looking for others.
Good news. Had a lycosa (LOL) sitting around and its feet fit! yay! Still, looking for others.
I just noticed all of Razer's keyboards are spiders and their mouses are snakes. :downs:
I'm sitting on my ass and not doing trial and error for the M's pinout because I don't want to restart my computer for each try. :c
I have a Filco Majestouch 2 with blue switches. I think it's great, love the feel and weight of it.
How is it to game on? I play mostly FPS type games, and from what I can understand, the blue switches can be a bit problematic when you need to tap keys.
I'm typing on Blues, haven't had any issues with it, I play Battlefield at a competitive level.
Yea, I don't get why people say they have problems gaming on blues, they're absolutely fooooine.
Yea, I don't get why people say they have problems gaming on blues, they're absolutely fooooine.
Sometimes I find myself holding a key without knowing on blues.
Sometimes I find myself holding a key without knowing on blues.
Shit you have heavy hands then. :v:
So does this mean Blues would be preferable to for example browns, even though i plan to use the keyboard for gaming aswell? I don't think noise would be a problem, so ignore that.
Is the K90 mechanical? Some saying it isn't, some saying the macro's aren't but others are.. if so, I found it for price of about £90. Is it worth it? I'll be played mostly FPS but Skyrim, etc too. Or should I just stick with the Sidewinder X6? :v:
It is, yes. Assuming you mean the Corsair K90. For FPS, just get the K60.
How is it to game on? I did sometimes keep keys pressed down by accident during the first few days but then I eventually stopped doing it.
It is, yes. Assuming you mean the Corsair K90. For FPS, just get the K60.
Only thing with the K60 is, i'm looking for backlighting. Backlighting mechanical seems expensive so I could just stick with a normal one, just not sure.

I'm set on a mouse but I REALLY have no idea which keyboard to buy. Should I hold out for upcoming keyboards?
Only thing with the K60 is, i'm looking for backlighting. Backlighting mechanical seems expensive so I could just stick with a normal one, just not sure.
Why do you need backlighting? Mechanical keyboards are pretty pointless if you are Hunt & Pecking.
Why do you need backlighting? Mechanical keyboards are pretty pointless if you are Hunt & Pecking.
I just like the look of backlighting :v: I think i'll put my whole £100 budget on the K90. Wire of my Logitech Marble mouse is a bit broken, but fine in a specific place, which is the art of a trackball is I won't be hardly moving the whole mouse/wire. Also, i'm a bit stuck for space on my desk but I love my trackball so much at the moment. My keyboard wire is the most annoying as I get freezing or the keys stop working etc.. How noisy exactly is the K90? I have this at the moment which is quite noisy:
You are whining about a rubber dome being loud and you are going to get a mechanical? Oh god what a joke!
