Soon, hopefully.
same here. it apparently fixes or improves battery life for some of the users on 5.1, something which i want
So redsn0w has a IOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak for 3GS, Ipad and Iphone 4. Is there a untethered jailbreak for Iphone 4s out there?
What version should i update my first gen iPad to? I cant install any apps from the app store.
What version should i update my first gen iPad to? I cant install any apps from the app store.
5.0.1 if you want an untethered jailbreak.
Thanks! [editline]3rd April 2012[/editline] Agh, Is there a way i can reset my iPad from my computer? iTunes isnt working.
5.0.1 if you want an untethered jailbreak.
but i thought apple only signs/validates 5.1 firmware now?
I update my jailbroken ipod touch on 5.0.1 to 5.1 (untethered) and i have to say that all of my problems i had are gone. Games like Infinity Blade run butter smooth, no more Springboard freeze right after unlocking and best of all, the battery life is normal again. If you can afford having an untethered jailbreak, or a semi-tethered one (cydia) definitely upgrade to 5.1
what's the lastest version of iOS my 3GS can be untethered to?

Whoops, I cocked up. Long story shory short my phone is now on 5.1 and I wanna downgrade to 5.0.1...Is it just a case of loading up iFaith and using that? Should also mention that I can't unlock the phone, I got it given to me but no sim card I have ever tried works in it so it won't unlock, I need it Jailbroken to actually use it. [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] ...And I haven't backed up any of the SHSH blobs. [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] ANNNNNNNNND nevermind, apparently you can downgrade to 4.1 but not any of the other iOS versiosn for some strange reason :v: [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] I should really do a bit more research before posting in here next time.
I'm in the look for some nice tweaks on Cydia. Any suggestions, guys?
bitesms,sbsettings,winterboard,iprotect,multicleaner
bitesms,sbsettings,winterboard,iprotect,multicleaner
what does iprotect do?
what does iprotect do?
lets you set a passcode for any app
I have an iPad 3 (or HD) is there any jailbreak options at the moment?
"Running iOS 5.1. iPhone 4S, iPad 2, and the new iPad: nothing yet. "

Old 3GS's can be untethered on 5.1, whereas the newer 3GS's have the same restrictions as an iPhone 4 does (Untethered 5.0.1 or tethered 5.1)
Is there any jailbreaking tools for linux that work for ipod touch 5.1? Redsn0w isn't detecting my ipod, and absinth refuses to run on my computer.
Any word on when an iphone 4s on 5.1 untethered will be released? its taking the longest time in comparison to the other releases
its taking the longest time in comparison to the other releases
haha nope
I have a problem if anyone knows the solution, i jailbroke my iPhone 3G last night, and downloaded Blackra1n as i got told that would unlock the phone from o2 to any network so once i downloaded it the phone froze, so after 10 minutes i reset it and now i get a constant apple logo boot, the apple logo appears 5 mins later the screen flashes and it appears again, any solutions? [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] Also i've tried booting just tethered right now, which takes me to the pineapple logo and after that goes away i'm back to the apple logo. I DO NOT want to restore my phone if necessary because i don't want to lose all my songs etc. I have no backup.

I've tried hard reset and when i turned it on it went back to the continuous apple logo loop, i've also tried restoring in iTunes and it won't let me, my last resort is too let it run down.
right, im having problems jailbraking my iphone 3gs runing ios 5.1. i origionaly jailbroke it using that jailbrakeme website when i had ios 3 something, when that messed up i ended up getting 5.0.1 i tried using redsn0w, but it kept on saying about an error with the shsh blobs (not sure if it was because i wasnt running as an admin). being an idiot i upgraded it to 5.1 i tried to jailbrake it using redsn0w but it says there is an error with the shsh blobs, same as last time. i tried to downgrade it using ifaith then tiny umbrella to get the shsh (baring in mind it was 4 in the morning and i was tired as fuck) i didnt know what i was doing and gave up. Could someone please help me, i tried to find a download of the shsh blobs from previous versions but to no avail, so i have no idea what im doing. i hope its as simple as "oh, you pressed x instead of y" or "i had that problem to, just load x then use y to enable z"
I have a jailbroken iPod touch, 4th generation and it is running quite badly, with around 50 MB of ram on the Springboard with no background apps. It takes ages to open app folders, and some of the more demanding apps crash often. I have to reboot in safe mode to use them. My current packages (excluding the default set) are at http://pastebin.com/E6G8ZYUH Is there anything I can do to optimise how my system is performing without uninstalling/removing anything? Or is it because I'm running too much stuff?

I don't use Dreamboard often, is it always running in the background and slowing down my system? I also tried uninstalling SBSettings, and performance increased. Does SBSettings use that much power? Found something called Supercharged, is it really as effective as it says?
I jailbroke my iPod back on iOS 3.0.1. I haven't updated since.
Why? You can update to 5.0.1 and still jailbreak
