I'm looking for a good HD camcorder. I want to make some tutorial videos on multiple things. What do you guys use? What would you recommend?
Budget?

If your going for the best quality possible I would go for a Canon 550D. I am english but I guess it is about $800 on amazon?
Very difficult to say unless we know your budget.
I have a Jazz Elite HD something or other. Works pretty good. If you look it up and want to know more about it, just ask.
Get one of the new iPod touches, perhaps. Excellent for video/picture taking.
:cawg: What :what:
Yeah, I know, it's an Apple product, boo hoo. If Flips are recommended, you probably better throw in an iPod touch in as well. 720p recording is excellent.
Flip ultra HD is full HD bro.
It records in 720p, as does the iPod touch. iPod touch costs about 20 dollars more, yet it also DOES so much more as well, AND has two cameras. Meh, I'd buy the touch. EDIT: Oh wait, the Flip does 1280x720 whilst the iPod does 960x720. Hmm.
Panasonic HDC-SD600 Great colour - Has four sensors. Brilliant, love it besides Not much zoom.

And if it has to be something small get the Zi8 (full HD).
Sony are pretty universally awesome in this respect.
The Kodak zi8 is cheap and pretty awesome if you have enough lighting.
Budget is up to a grand.
Nikon D3100 (coming out later this month) seems pretty solid as a camera / camcorder
Link me the porno after you're done filming it
Nikon D3100 (coming out later this month) seems pretty solid as a camera / camcorder
Do you know if the video recording is better than the Canon T2i's?
Get one of the new iPod touches, perhaps. Excellent for video/picture taking.
You don't know what you are talking about.
flip :downs:
dont buy a dslr if your budget is £/$1000 and the main usage is video, you wont have enough left from buying the camera body to purcahase the required accessories to make your videos not suck (examples hot shoe mic roughly £200, follow focus system varies but $300+, battery grip is £130 never mind a decent lens plus the half dozen other accessories you will probably want)
You don't know what you are talking about.
Baww, it's an Apple product baww. Grow up.
It's a phone camera. Doesn't matter if it was made by Apple or god himself.
Baww, it's an Apple product baww. Grow up.
You're trying too hard to cause a fight. It isn't even believable. There is a art to trolling and if you don't get it, you don't get it. Also, I would second in the idea of not buying a DSLR for video if the main function is for video. Definitely go all out for the video camera.
It's a phone camera. Doesn't matter if it was made by Apple or god himself.
Yes, well, like I said, I only put it in since somebody recommended the Flip. Whenever the Flip is mentioned, the touch needs to be put in automatically. Personally, I have a Handycam CX110. 25X optical zoom, 1920x1080 recording, HDMI, SD/MSPro compatibility, hell yes. Still pictures aren't very good at 3.1 megapixels, but videos are excellent. Thing is fucking tiny too, will fit in your pocket. If you're looking for a micro HD camera, the Sony Bloggie looks like a good one, aside from the fact that is saves video into MP4 format. I think it's full 1080P HD too.
Do you know if the video recording is better than the Canon T2i's?
Besides the D3s, every Canon SLR beats Nikon in reference to video features and video quality. Better codec. Better bitrate. Many framerates and resolutions. Fully manual controls. Alot less shutter roll.
The HDR-CX150 / 110 and the Panasonic HDC-SD600 are looking pretty good. I like the colors on the sd600 but the auto focus looks legit on the 110.
