• Two Days Ago I got the 8800 Gts and a Thermaltake Fan for $25..

On Friday myself, my cousin and my friend decided to drive to the tip to have a look for some potential stuff to buy. About 15 minutes later, we came across a Galaxy 8800Gts, and a 140mm Thermaltake Fan. The graphics card was $20 and the fan was only $5. Excellent purchase and both work fine, except the card has a few scratches. I am going to purchase a better graphics card in a while but this one is still better than my previous card. Also, where is this tip that sells stuff? I've never seen one like that before

why the fuck don't I ever come across stuff like that ??
I once brought home a Xigmatek Asgard, corsair GS600, a noctua 120MM fan and a Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3R from the dump all were free
You can find some cool stuff near store trash bins
I am going using the fan as personal hand/face cooler during the summer.
Where in Australia are you?
Southeast Queensland, about 20k's NE of Brisbane
Southeast Queensland, about 20k's NE of Brisbane
Don't say Redcliffe :v:
Southeast Queensland, about 20k's NE of Brisbane
Ah you are out of luck then :( Unless of course you have a local tip that have a recycling part where you can buy stuff.
Im guessing Caboolture, I used to live in Caloundra and they had a tip shop but everything in there was like super cheap

Wait, I'm fucking retarded, Southeast not Northeast :v:
My 8800 melted about a year ago, it was a great card. It was summer, my house has no working air conditioning, and when I took it out I found a shit ton of dust in the fan and inside the plastic casing. Lasted four years.

Jesus christ clean your power supply, and you may aswell mount the damn fan..
Is it a G80 (320 / 640 MB) or a G92 (512 MB)?
I have a working G92 somewhere in my basement, its worth about $20 for the performance it puts out to be honest, not sure why you're so happy. Yay! You got a power hungry card that puts out crap performance compared to newer cards.
Why you got to be like that?
Sorry bro, want a free 8800?
Sorry bro, want a free 8800?
I would take a free 8800
I would take a free 8800
You can have it, but you have to pay for shipping and buy yourself thermal pads as it is partially disassembled. Aka HSF is separated from the PCB because I had a custom HSF fit on there.
Sorry bro, want a free 8800?
I would but I don't think I can SLI it with my 9800GT.
You can SLI them. They're both G92's except 8800GTS 512 has more stream processors.
You can SLI them.
Cool, I would totally do that if my PSU was not shit.
A new power supply is going to be acquired soon. I can't mount the fan in my case without having to modify it some way, so I may as well buy a 120mm fan that will fit on the side of my case.
You can SLI them. They're both G92's except 8800GTS 512 has more stream processors.
no he can't
Is it a G80 (320 / 640 MB) or a G92 (512 MB)?
G80 I believe [editline]13th October 2011[/editline]
no he can't
I can't SLI on my mobo anyway.
