Any opinions on the Superlux HD668B ? I can get them for $30 from Massdrop ( Sign up here or Image of the page here ) and was wondering if they'd be better than my Sennheiser HD 202's ( which I got for $20 a few years ago )
For those of you who don't know about it, there is a website called Massdrop. Massdrop is one of the go to sites for buying expensive headphones because people vote on which one they want, and the one that gets the most votes will be put on sale. Here's their description: What does Massdrop do? We provide a way for people to buy stuff together so everyone gets low bulk-rate pricing while only having to buy one of something. This is called a "group buy." The more people participate in a group buy, the more the price goes down (or, the bigger the "mass", the bigger the "drop"). Our staff negotiates with the companies that manufacture the products you want to get the biggest discounts possible. I have seen Sennheiser HD 650's go for around $350. They have different sales for different price ranges, and types (Over-ear, On-ear, IEM, etc.) You can only view the stuff they have once you create an account, so come check it out. LINK to Sign-up
Highly recomend Massdrop, they put up lots of cool stuff, not just Audio equipment, but what they do put up is generally very high quality stuff.
They're time limited though, so opinions on those headphones would be nice, the drop only has 5 days left
too bad massdrop kinda sucks for anyone outside of the US
too bad massdrop kinda sucks for anyone outside of the US
Yep.. I've been considering it, but then there's the CUSTOMS FEE!!! that will drive up the price by like 50% or more.

Is the NuForce UDAC-2 any good? I'm getting one for free for helping someone build a computer and was wondering if it would be worth keeping or trading in for something else.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a good first dac? (If this is the right place to ask) I was looking into this one since it has the exact price I'm aiming for, but it only has this RCA output since they want you couple it with one their amps (I guess?). I don't think I need an amp though since I don't own any high impedance or sensitivity headphones.
I just got the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros, they are on sale for over half off. I paired them with my Schiit Magni and they both are great. They are my favorite so far. The XPT-100s are great but I was looking for something a little better. Still gonna use my XPT-100s for on campus and such since they are closed headphones. Also found out my Blue Snowball doubles as a great mic stand. I found that it beat out my E7 hands down, much superior sound. I love it to pieces. Also can anyone recommend me the best IEM's for $ 150 - $250(absolute max)? I listen to a wide range of things, looking for high sound quality with headspace for decent bass when needed.
I have already done both of those. Do I just need a small amp?
Probably. Your PC has a different impedance in the socket than on your phone, for instance.
OH FUCK. Perfect fucking timing too. Do you know how long they're for sale?
Well.. They are no longer on sale now. I'm so pissed because I was just about to pick them up for 130 instead of 160 and then they spiked it back up.
Well.. They are no longer on sale now. time to run to the bank! [editline]22nd March 2014[/editline] oh right its 8pm on a friday night.. fuck i hope they're still on sale on monday.
Edit: okay i found the 130 dollar version but for some reason it says it will ship after 2 - 4 weeks, what's the deal with that?
I'm looking to buy a cheap headphone which is good for listening to dubstep and other electronic bass-heavy music. I think i'm going to get the JVC HA-S44X-E. But whats the difference between the S44X and the S4X,apart from the looks?
Budget: $100 Country: Australia Isolation: Circumaural Purpose: Music Listening Music Tastes: Everything from acoustic to EDM. Some categories would be blues, rock, alternative, progressive house, etc. Previous Experiences: I had a pair of Sony HD somethings acoustic headphones that cost me 50 dollars and they sounded pretty nice but didn't clamp tight enough. Comments: I like the build quality to be solid (not cheap plasticy) and for the headphones to clamp well around the ears.

Or are they any downsides to that? I am now currently thinking of the Sony MDR-XB600 because I can get one for 60 euros. I'm getting mixed feedback on them though. Some people say that they beat Beats by Dre and other say that they sound awful. Keep in mind I really like bass and listen to heavy bass music so....worth it?
Is the E10 better than a NuForce UDAC-2?
Glancing around the web they're about the same level and similar feature list but the nuforce has a slight edge in clarity which comes with it being a little bit more expensive.
Edit: okay i found the 130 dollar version but for some reason it says it will ship after 2 - 4 weeks, what's the deal with that?
Go to B&H. Amazon is out of stock. [editline]23rd March 2014[/editline] Budget - $150 USD Country - USA Isolation - As long as I can't hear my ceiling fan, which is somewhat quiet. It would be also nice if the sound doesn't bleed out too much, but they'll be used in my closed room 95% of the time, so it doesn't matter too much. Usage - Studio work and listening to EDM. Past headphones - M-Audio Q40's. They were nice for the first month or two I used them, then they started really hurting my ears, the cable broke, the clamps shot (not joking, they violently shot off of the headphones) off the headphones, and i go to bed with a headache every night when I use them. They sound good though. Notes - I was planning on buying the DT990's but I looked at the frequency chart and decided that they aren't flat enough. Maybe the ATH-M50's?
^^Because they get the item back from previous buyer.
My 2nd pair of Koss Portapro's finally broke after serving me well. Need a new pair for watching movies and stuff, £20-£25 budget, preferably not too big and fat. Don't mind the style, closed is fine but open is fine also, just want the best audio quality for £25 really. Thanks a lot :)
I need a cheap headset (Under £30) w/microphone and earmuffs that aren't going to hurt my jaw :v I had the Turtle Beach x12's and my jaw killed when I had them on for too long, not sure if its like this for all headsets because they are the only ones I've had.
