What theme is that? It looks sexy.
This theme... http://zainadeel.deviantart.com/art/Win7-Blend-for-Windows-7-v1-8-144063997 ...with these icons... http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=69211 ...and this wallpaper. http://imgkk.com/c/d-i0dK.jpg :siren:NOTE!:siren: Windows compresses images when you apply them normally as wallpapers. To ensure perfect quality, open the picture you want in Firefox, right click, and click "Set As Desktop Background..." ...and voilà! Instant wallpaper with no compression!
open the picture you want in Firefox
problem.
How is it a problem? :crossarms:
No Firefox :colbert:
You can use Internet Explorer, or maybe even Opera (unconfirmed). Also, get Firefox. :colbert:
Google Chrome :slick:
That works too. ...However, just to be safe, I would use Internet Explorer to apply the wallpaper.
I meant,
Ah. Like I said, use Internet Explorer to apply the wallpaper.
Or you click save image as, then open the download and right click the opened picture, selecting make as background.
Nice reading. He said useless shit. That's a key word in that sentence. Games are not useless shit.
I never use icons on my desktop, I use my taskbar/start icon, and so should you. Rainmeter provides information like space left, date etc without you having to click anywhere.

That's chuckle-worthy. Also, my desktop is on page 1. You should check it out instead of assuming my desktop is... well however you think it is.

The reason I don't use icons on my desktop is because whenever you launch a program often, Windows adds it to your start bar.
Okay maybe I said it in a harsh way, I just wanted to suggest that you do it. The reason I don't use icons on my desktop is because whenever you launch a program often, Windows adds it to your start bar.
I've set my start bar programs myself by dragging shortcuts into the top section next to where your browser is. Then you right click the start bar, go to properties, click customize, and set the Number of Recent Programs to Display to zero. You can also choose how many shortcuts you want in the option below it. For example, I've got Firefox, iTunes, Steam, Photoshop, Skype, Notepad, and my webcam software all on the start bar. Those are pretty much the only programs I ever use, and anything else like games is down on my dock. *EDIT* Congrats on 11K posts. Damn, son.
Think is, I tend to e.g. play Oblivion for a month, then I stop playing it, so the 'Recent Programs' thing is working well for me. If I put all my favourite programs/games on my desktop + put those games I play on and off, my desktop would look all cluttered. So I guess I am actually completely wrong and it is totally up to yourself if you use desktop icons or not. But if you do, use them wisely.
http://localhostr.com/files/6592ec/capture.png
Is there a program (if so, what's it called?) to get borders around those icons like that or are they just photoshopped into the wallpaper?
Is there a program (if so, what's it called?) to get borders around those icons like that or are they just photoshopped into the wallpaper?
Correct, it's Fences by Stardock (not pro).
ERIKA'S DESKTOP
Do you honestly need to remind yourself whose desktop you're looking at? Course my criticisms don't mean anything since I'm currently ashamed to be sporting the desktop I am at the moment. Not my usual sort of thing but I'm blind with anticipation :gay:

Link to rainmeter thing please?

I was going to say that I was going to start V5, but I was wronged out of it. :frown: If only I hadn't taken that extra minute to contemplate on picking the right icon.
Took the picture myself. I need to rearrange my desktop icons and my Rocketdock icon pictures
Perhaps you should use large icons on the QL so they'll be aligned better? Or not, up to you. Personally think it looks better.
