What should I do about my battery
What should I do about my battery
Can't be caused by rooting, try installing BetterBatteryStats and look for Partial Wakelocks. Some app is staying on in the background. Alternatively check battery stats in Settings if there isn't some app listed on top.
It says Display is 69%. I only use the phone for music for about 4 hours a day, while I'm commuting, but surely that wouldn't leave me with like 15% battery at 6pm
Was the advice too much for you or what? [editline]19th April 2012[/editline] It's not, just my input on his questions. I know, it was a lot.
a lot of it was gibberish and some parts of it sounded like you were desperately trying to give detailed advice about something you don't know anything about as long as the physics arent like "the cryengine 3"..
Some girl at my school got the Galaxy note, this picture just shows how big it is compared to other phones [thumb]http://s.stylee32.net/IMG_20120416_153513.jpg[/thumb] (Some LG phone, HTC Wildfire, HTC Sensation, SGS2 and the Note)
Well, all I see in my school is iPhones. Some guy called my Nexus S an "iPhone ripoff". In response, I locked and unlocked my phone with Face unlock. "Can yours do this?" [editline]19th April 2012[/editline] Any updates on the Aperture live wallpaper?
been busy and i have like a minimum of 6 projects i'm working on at all times lol was planning on working on fpandroid today but ill try to finish up aperture wallpaper asap here's how it looks right now

there are animated scanlines, and the little display you see on the top right scrolls infinitely like in the game i need to add a blinking cursor (should take 5 mins), and settings so that you can set the top and bottom border position (that way you can move it up/down in case your launcher is blocking it too much), also going to add a secondary layout option where it removes the stuff from the top and just puts a slowly spinning aperture science logo right in the center.
Wait for any Tegra 3 tablet.
wouldn't those be way over my price range I mean the new transformer prime is out and that's $500 compared to its $350 Tegra 2 predecessor [editline]wef[/editline] in comparison would the Kindle fire be a better choice
Just got a Droid 4. In case you're wondering what the camera's like: It's what you'd expect. The resolution is good, but there's no making up for how cheap the censor is.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/CdIS7.jpg[/thumb] Not bad I guess.
i hope Google focuses on fixing all the audio issues Android has soon. particularly latency issues and gapless playback(nobody should need to implement their own audio shit for gapless playback)
i hope Google focuses on fixing all the audio issues Android has soon. particularly latency issues and gapless playback(nobody should need to implement their own audio shit for gapless playback)
Pretty sure OGG on Android supports gapless. Not sure on that. MP3 doesn't for sure, but I don't think MP3 supports gapless properly anyhow.
Why is the ICS contact widget huge? It was 1x1 on gingerbread.
So i finally have enough money for a new phone, should i go for a Galaxy Nexus or the Galaxy S2? Or maybe another phone?
Either SGS3 or HTC One series. [editline]19th April 2012[/editline]
Free RAM is wasted RAM. If the application has to start from scratch, it will consume more power than if it reloads from a cached process. ALSO, SGS CM9 build 0419 switched emmc and sdcard around, to match CM and general Google standard. Samsung had it switched the other (incorrect) way. ALSO2, if you're using a non-cm kernel, WAIT FOR AN UPDATE before flashing 0419. Here's why.
Free RAM is wasted RAM to a certain extent. The problem is that what's quoted as "Free RAM" often contains filesystem cache, and cutting into filesystem cache will cause lots of lag as it gets dumped and the phone has to rely on emmc and SD card instead of on-die RAM. Those will be your primary problems. [editline]19th April 2012[/editline]
Well on my Galaxy Note the browser gets killed all the time, and it has 1 GB of RAM too.
Look into V6 Supercharger, there are tools in the script that will let you override Android OOM killers and keep things locked in memory like your browser. [editline]19th April 2012[/editline] Jesus christ, I found the fix to battery problems. I carry around a 5000 mAh battery pack, 2 days of pretty intense usage is no longer hard to achieve (Think gaming a metric fuckton on the device, constant push IM/Email, 4 hour sync on many pull accounts, large amounts of forum/web browsing. I think 4 days isn't a problem if I really wanted to.
Pretty sure OGG on Android supports gapless. Not sure on that. MP3 doesn't for sure, but I don't think MP3 supports gapless properly anyhow.
just tested it and nope. MP3 doesn't inherently support but it's easy enough to work around that. it's pretty pathetic that Android doesn't have gapless playback. that's like basic standards right there.
Oh balls, I was playing around with the performance settings in Gummy and my phone bricked. I've tried flashing a few different roms through safestrap and none of them are working.
Why is Chrome so.. Weird? It makes every word a different size, even if they're meant to be the same size.
Oh balls, I was playing around with the performance settings in Gummy and my phone bricked. I've tried flashing a few different roms through safestrap and none of them are working.
how would that even be possible?
how would that even be possible?
I'm not sure. when I hit the power button the screen would flash for a millisecond and turn back off. I did a battery pull and the phone wouldn't get past the "M" on the screen. After about the 5th time flashing, it finally worked. Almost had a heart attack. :tinfoil: [editline]19th April 2012[/editline] Oh man, Just my luck. They released an update just a few minutes ago. Time to flash again :v:
Why is Chrome so.. Weird? It makes every word a different size, even if they're meant to be the same size.
I don't have that problem
Should I save money for a Galaxy Nexus? If I do, it's gonna be tough, and I don't want to bother with something that'll let me down. I read about the PenTile display and it's making me think twice about the phone :/
