If I wanna exit an app, I wanna kill it. No "run in the background" bullshit even if it doesn't hamper performance or battery life.
Buy an iPhone then
i'd love it if apps shut down if you held down the back button or something.
'Murricans rejoice, official Ice Cream Sandwich is ready for download! http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/20/android-4-0-ice-cream-sandwich-galaxy-s-ii-now-available/ [sub][sub][sub]Only the global, non-carrier branded version[/sub][/sub][/sub]
i'd love it if apps shut down if you held down the back button or something.
Custom ROMs (CyanogenMod for example) do this. There's a setting that you can enable, then hold the back button within an app and it will get killed.
Does anyone here actually use their phone cam for anything but taking pics of random shit you need to remember etc.? I've never used it as a camera for taking nice pictures.
If I wanna exit an app, I wanna kill it. No "run in the background" bullshit even if it doesn't hamper performance or battery life.
You can enable this on ICS in developer options.

I've never used it as a camera for taking nice pictures.
Since my digital cam died quite a few months ago, I'm using my Galaxy S2 camera as a primary. It's pretty great for a phone cam. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] PyroCF: Woah, it's a feature of ICS? I thought it was a custom setting in unofficial ROMs.
Rumors that this is the galaxy S 3. WTF is it doing in vietnam Samsung's Galaxy SIII is due to launch officially on May 3rd. We've already seen some blurry images of what might be the phone—but now an even more convincing example has surfaced in Vietnam. Engadget reports that the handset showed up on Vietnamese site Tinhte—though the original page is now down. No worries: we still have the pictures and specs that were leaked. According to the leak, the phone—going by model number GT-I9300—packs: a 720 x 1184 4.6-inch display (that's 320 DPI), a quad-core 1.4 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2,050mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera and 16GB of storage. There also appears to be some kind of plastic rim around this leaked device, making it look slightly larger than it actually is and disguising the edge of the handset. It's difficult to know for certain if this is the real deal, but the images certainly look more convincing than a lot of leaks we see. Also, Tinhte has in the past scooped both the current-gen iPad and the original Galaxy Tab prior to their official release—so it has strong past form.
It's not the PenTile but the SoC that is lagging.
Is the PenTile screen not an issue? I've read that it sucks, but everyone said the performance is great
Custom ROMs (CyanogenMod for example) do this. There's a setting that you can enable, then hold the back button within an app and it will get killed.
Some apps also have this/
Is the PenTile screen not an issue? I've read that it sucks, but everyone said the performance is great
you might be a bit disappointed with the camera or maybe with the performance if you really stress the phone; the screen problem is just blown out of proportion, you aren't going to hold your phone at 3 inches from your face, and at normal distance, the high pixel density makes up for it I think
Well, I don't care much about the camera, since I only use it for the casual snap, but performance? I plan to play 3D games and shit, would it fail me? And I also heard that it's underclocked at 80%, couldn't I put it to 100%?
Listening to a few radio stations with TuneIn whilst reading to focus (easily distracted through sound), but the music is just a bit too loud. Is there a way to get to even lower volume levels with the phone? Awww yeah, Slovenia finally got ICS! I have a question though, regarding chrome - how do I open tabs from my PC?It says I should login on chrome on my PC - which I am.
Does anyone here actually use their phone cam for anything but taking pics of random shit you need to remember etc.? I also have a Pogo printer that I can bluetooth photos to, really handy for documenting my work in a dinky little sketchbook. Otherwise no.
Is the PenTile screen not an issue? I've read that it sucks, but everyone said the performance is great
My Atrix has a pentile display and it's fine most of the time, but it really shows if you ever have the phone closer than 30cm away. Since the Nexus has a higher res screen it might not be so bad. Perhaps go in to a phone shop and have a look, see what you think.
I'll try to find a shop with a Nexus. Thanks!

Probably not the most demanding game out there for Android, but it works really well. I don't think 3D games are going to be an issue on the Galaxy Nexus for some time yet.
I wish mobile phone carriers didn't have anything to do with phones. They shouldn't have control of the OS in the first place. It would make life so much easier.
I wish mobile phone carriers didn't have anything to do with phones. They shouldn't have control of the OS in the first place. It would make life so much easier.
The amount of non-removable crapware is insane.
I think that's the main reason why Google added app disabling into ICS.
Buy an iPhone then
Oh why don't you just call my mother a whore, trash my car and steal my money while you're at it.
yo are there any 4G data providers in the UK which work with android?
I have a question though, regarding chrome - how do I open tabs from my PC?It says I should login on chrome on my PC - which I am.
Is it an updated dev channel version of Chrome, and have the Open Tab option in sync settings activated?

I questioned this guy's services on one of his YouTube videos, due to the fact he's charging $40-60 to root phones by an "expert". He banned me and deleted my comment. v:v:v
