I thought you meant Milestone 2 for a sec and I was like that's hardly an upgrade I stand corrected and say go for it.
I think you'd have to pay me $80 if you wanted me to take a milestone 2 :v:
Eh, I'd take it if it were like $20. I love my Windows Phone but not as much as I love Android. Ah well. August 2013 is upgrade time.
when you jailbreak your iphone or whatever you plug it into the computer and restart it, the jailbreak program changes the system files and installs a custom firmware. Sounds like the same thing (different process) to me
no not really but ok
What actually happens is very similar but the end result and why you do it is very different. Android is very open when you get it, you just get a ROM on there for better power management and any customization features you prefer over what you had last. Jailbreaking is probably 99.9% used for pirating apps.
apples and oranges [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] theres a reason they dont call rooting jailbreaking and its because the two are very diffferent and not just in dumb semantics
no they are exactly the same except some of the stuff you can do jailbroken you don't need to on android i have a problem with my power button, it doesn't work at all. i cant put my device in/out of standby mode without leaving it for a while or plugging it in, and a factory reset didnt work. has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it? google doesnt help

Blade owners rejoice! CM9 with hardware acceleration out for the Blade! http://www.mediafire.com/?b6wy92c27251rcr

The download speeds are slow-ish but they work.
Not happy with CM9 anymore? :v: Also, both sites work just fine for me. The download speeds are slow-ish but they work.
not that I'm not happy, but I want to try other roms
not that I'm not happy, but I want to try other roms
ill download and re-up if you want to [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] what the christ, i cant dowload either [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] and when i could download it told me on an empty page: try again later [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] works now, but the speed is total shit
I swear that since the Megaupload incident, every download website became ten times worse.
mediafire is good
not enough people use it though. Especially not android stuff developers
whenever i upload stuff i always use dropbox
anyway I'm downloading the ROM from both websites and will rehost it to mediafire (or something else?).. 1 hour left on the first download, two hours on the second one. Speeds change like mad on these two though., omg automerge
alright, you re-upload it
yeah, anyway, I got it to download too :v: it goes at 60kb/s so I've also got around an hour left
yeah, anyway, I got it to download too :v: it goes at 60kb/s so I've also got around an hour left
asdfghjkl do I keep downloading y/n
asdfghjkl do I keep downloading y/n
you can try it out, video recording works I think
Well it doesn't look stock (and stock ICS is beautiful) enough. I think I'll really wait for kernel source and flash CM9 when video recording works and just stay on that. I'm not that much of a flash junkie (plus I think most custom ROMs have terrible graphics).
Yeah, has more working features than CM9, so I think I'll stay with this until CM9 is done
I think there's a stock ICS theme for it on that market thing, you know, like CheckROM?
All of the themes I've seen so far lacked something.. I'm way too picky I guess. And to be honest, if I found a Samsung ROM with AOSP Lockscreen, I would've probably switched already. (there is one judging by screenshots, but it uses the weird Gingerbread lockscreen font) The monkey that designed TW's lockscreen should be locked in a cage. Sure, I can use WidgetLocker, but even then, the stock lockscreen does pop up here and there :|
I swear that since the Megaupload incident, every download website became ten times worse.

not enough people use it though. Especially not android stuff developers
Since MegaUpload went down, everyone felt the pain. MU was THEEEE FASTEST service I ever tried. I mean, I got MAX 15 MB/s down when I was downloading mods n stuff. Seriously, I would never use FileServe, etc. since they ALL SUCK. Download speed caps for free users, shit man MU just has a time limit with no speed cap/file size cap. MU was the best of the best, sucks how it's dead now. It sucks, indeed. Also, a lotta people mirror stuff on MU since it's so fast.
I use widgetlocker and I don't see any trace of the old lockscreen also yes you are a picky wanker
Sometimes when I unlock, the stock screen briefly flashes before it the phone unlocks.. and when I stop a call the screen pops up again D: and thank you, I take that as a compliment.
MU was THEEEE FASTEST service I ever tried.
Not even close to me. It was decent at times, but mostly it went up to MAX 500kb/s. Rapidshare used to be amazing for the past year or so, up to 3mb/s not a single fuck given. But a few days earlier they dropped the free user speed to 30kb/s. It's sad but I bet file hosting websites will improve, new ones will appear, some current ones will dissapear.. all that in just a few months. Because these limitations will get many of them closed due to unpopularity. Rapidshare could basically close their free user downloading right now with a speed limit like that. I think we're getting a bit off topic though.
I use widgetlocker and I don't see any trace of the old lockscreen also yes you are a picky wanker
GO Locker flashes the homescreen before going to the lockscreen too... But at least they fixed it so it would actually run when your phone is turned on from off.
