Only "good" picture I have of my computer right now. I'll probably take some better ones tomorrow.
What kind of PSU did you use Makol?
Corsair GS800. Just got it today.
I mean the one that wrecked your previous PC, that sounded nasty
I mean the one that wrecked your previous PC, that sounded nasty
OH. That was an Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-750.
Only "good" picture I have of my computer right now. I'll probably take some better ones tomorrow.
Same case, I can't wait to actually put shit into it though.
OH. That was an Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-750.
Wait, what happened to his old pc? PSU took it? You have a surge protector right? ( A good one at that, not some cheap power strip )
Wait, what happened to his old pc? PSU took it? You have a surge protector right? ( A good one at that, not some cheap power strip )
Yeah. It was just a bad power supply.
Same case, I can't wait to actually put shit into it though.
People shitting in PCs Now i've heard everything.
Yeah. It was just a bad power supply.
:( That is why I avoid antec PSU's at all cost now.
:( That is why I avoid antec PSU's at all cost now.
except most of antec's PSUs are fine why are you basing your opinion of an entire brand on the outcome of a single example of a single product they make, in a market where DOA or otherwise faulty products are well known to exist
Pepper;34756781']People shitting in PCs Now i've heard everything.
Shit would give me more power than my current build :v:
I installed a fan controller today, I'd like to think my efforts at managing it's cables succeeded though. :v: I might need to start considering a new case though because man I love the 690, but it's pretty hard on my cables. ALso apologies for my phone camera because it normally looks like this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23046558/Phone/2011-06-19%2017.03.52.png
best you can do with a 692 tbh (this is old, as in 4890 CF old) [editline]18th February 2012[/editline] that's a 690? da fuck I thought they didn't have a black interior
lol who cares about cable tidyness on the back, it just makes it harder to add more cables later on (and make those look neat too). just put the door on and forget about it
that's a 690? da fuck I thought they didn't have a black interior
the later production model ones do [editline]18th February 2012[/editline]
just put the door on and forget about it
lol I have to put my PC on the floor and use my feet to secure the bottom half whilst I use my hands and to secure the top half and close it already. :v:
Better pictures. I guess.
And then a HDD platter shatters while spinning. :v:
Pepper;34761718']And then a HDD platter shatters while spinning. :v:
And after that my 6870s start to shoot fire out of the exhaust grills.
And after that my 6870s start to shoot fire out of the exhaust grills.
And then your power supply violently explodes destroying nearly every... wait.
Sorry for the shitty phone camera pictures. I don't have anything better ATM. Desk (2.5" drive is my linux drive, there is a hotswap bay on the top of my case. I also have a 2TB external drive behind my display): [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Z2GHe.jpg[/thumb] Front (Sorry about the cables, was too lazy to unplug them only to plug them back in): [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Km0nT.jpg[/thumb] Side w/ panel: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GC7Mo.jpg[/thumb] Side w/o panel (Mobo, CPU, and RAM are from the stock HP rig that I've been upgrading from. Yes that is an extra fan laying there, the mobo won't let me boot into BIOS without a fan hooked up, I've been meaning to find a workaround but it doesn't matter much, I don't move the thing around): [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/BTcSm.jpg[/thumb] Specs: Keyboard: Logitech G510 Mouse: Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Case: Antec DF-85 Mobo: So bad I don't care to look CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 635 GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6950 (Reference card from MSI, unlocked it to 6970, plus a little bit of OC. Core Clock: 910MHz, Memory Clock: 1410MHz) RAM: Nothing special, just 6GB of standard DDR3 memory Drives: 1TB programs drive, 750GB media drive, 2TB external used for backups and video projects, 120GB Linux boot drive (Linux Mint 12) PSU: Thermaltake TR2 RX 850W
Rice rice rice rice rice [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] Also 6950 + Athlon X4?
except most of antec's PSUs are fine why are you basing your opinion of an entire brand on the outcome of a single example of a single product they make, in a market where DOA or otherwise faulty products are well known to exist
I've owned over 5 antec PSU's. one earth watts died within 8 months of operation, one 650w most likely caused my Blitz Formula to go and as well as my Maximus Formula too. I also had a couple of them which never performed reliably, every single one of my corsair psu's from the bottom end to the top end worked great, one has been kicking for over 5 years now. To each his own I guess, I was just stating my own opinion, no need to get butt hurt. I have an antec EA650 PSU, it works fine, hasn't given me problems. Sucks how even good PSUs can be hit or miss like that though
Rice rice rice rice rice [editline]19th February 2012[/editline] Also 6950 + Athlon X4?
I know, I'm getting a large sum of money this summer so I'll be making some upgrades. And I knew I should wait for bulldozer.
Pepper;34775554']And then your power supply violently explodes destroying nearly every... wait.
You don't even know what happens to the RAM...
You don't even know what happens to the RAM...
POP POP POP POP
It turns into popcorn.
and then the fans become turbines and open fire pieces of copper at what ever is left of the char-broiled prime rib video cards

Really, they're all tucked away in the back. Anyway, looking to upgrade to an i5 2500k and HD 6970 build soon (hopefully).
