I'm sold.
Even if it was like 40 hours I'd still be sold LOOK AT IT
Holy motherfucker, this will be useful for school.
We don't have any exact dates? I've got to put aside some money for this thing. So if it is like a screen, do you guys think it will be able to do math?
We don't have any exact dates? I've got to put aside some money for this thing. So if it is like a screen, do you guys think it will be able to do math?
since it's open source it's probably possible but a calculator would be more useful for that sort of thing
June 2011? Jesus fuck I cant wait that long
It was only a matter of time before some one did this. Pulse smartpens are kinda the same idea but reversed. Still I look at those pictures and think, "The future is now."
Open source eh, if it has Wi-Fi I can see a browser being written for this! Would be fun to play linerider on I suppose.
Browser being written :smug: I bet nobody else got the phun.
The only problem is when your teacher wants you to turn in your journal
Hot damn, I've been wanting something like this FOREVER. This has so much potential its not even funny. Shit I can think of off the top of my head this thing could do: -Print over wifi -Do maths -Graphing/Charts -Built in email app -Ereader -Compose music (staff template, draw in notes, convert to mp3) -MOTHERFUCKING TIC-TAC-TOE I'll be buying this as soon as somebody does a review. Also, is it just me or did we kill their website? [editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
The only problem is when your teacher wants you to turn in your journal
Just grab all your pages, .zip them, and email.
I suck ass when it comes to drawing. I have to get this anyway.
oh god i want this badly
Oh god I need one of these.
Oh my god, why wasn't this around 3 years ago, I'll have finished uni by the time this gets released. Well that settles it, I'm failing this year so i can retake and use this.
Oh my god, perfect release time. Right when summer starts, and it's early school supplies shopping.
Definitely going to get this.
HOLY FUCK. I want one NOW!
Can you change the screen color?
I hope PDF isn't the only file type you can save files in; if it's docx compatible that would be good, or even open txt files. I'm heading into uni this year, hopefully it's out soon because I can see it being very, very useful.
Does or will it have pressure sensitivity?
More pictures [img_thumb]http://review-this.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/noteslatecolor.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh my fucking god I just jizzed in my fucking pants holy fucking shit
Can you change the screen color?
I doubt it, but i don't understand the tech enough to give an educated reason.
Their website is a little... engrishy http://www.noteslate.net/
Jesus, 180 hours on a single charge? 750*1080 resolution? I need one.
A battery life of that length tells me it probably is using e-ink technology.
I don't understand why everyone is getting excited over internet browsers and email clients. On the website, one of it's features is the LACK of networked connectivity. For such a low cost device, why would you think it would have the processing power to push any type of an app? All it functions as is an electronic journal/diary/notepad/writing surface. That alone for 99 dollars would be enough for me to buy.
"Open notes test for A.P history!" *I pull this out* *Open "American Pageant" PDF*
That has to be the worst textbook I've ever encountered. Take this from a 2nd year college student, the college level texts are no where near as dense or overly verbose as that book. It is really intended to reading static content (like books) or in this case creating static content.
Just for getting rid of the billions of loose sheets I have in my binder, this would be worth it. I wonder if the pen scratching the tablet makes much noise because I'm paranoid about noise in a silent classroom :ohdear:
Does or will it have pressure sensitivity?
I doubt it, that requires a more complicated mechanism, and since they seem to be trying to make this as simple and cheap as possible, I find that unlikely.

What I really hope it allows it so email yourself/others those files conveniently. Shit like calculators isn't needed. Btw, is it really the worse text book? I'm a junior in high school, and while I don't really like it all the much, I think i've gotten use to the load. I think that's reassuring that it doesn't get much worse. Thanks
Is it water resistant?
