Is there anything incompatible or anything like that? I'm just trying to make a relatively inexpensive build here. Also, is there anything crucial missing? I already have a monitor, keyboard, etc.
DO NOT GET AN 8400! I don't care if you're on a low budget, you won't be able to play shit on it. 9600gt should be your MINIMUM if you intend to play games at all. Oh and I heard that most thermaltake power supplies except for the truepower series or whatever it's called suck ass. If you want quality, corsair is never wrong.
ASRock, 8400GS.. :barf:
If you're buying an OEM processor, you're going to need a heatsink or fan. It's cheaper to buy the retail than it is to buy OEM proc + fan.
What will you be using this computer for?

It's not meant for any solid gaming, just as a general machine for emails, burning, webcam chats and older games.

That vista is 32bit, you have 4gb. It will only see 3gb And that CD drive can't read DVDs, which is the modern format, meaning you wouldn't be able to read most stuff, Not sure if vista is a DVD, but you do need a different drive
