Alright, I just got Arma 2 and it is running at an okay FPS but at a very, VERY low graphics level. It's hardly playable, and still some slight lag. Here are my specs. Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS RAM: 4096 MB (4 GB) Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II 160u Processor, ~1.8GHz I have DirectX 11 My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium (I don't like it...) If anyone can help, or if you want a screenshot, all is welcome.
Arma 2 running poorly? Newsflash: Sky is blue. Sorry dude, Arma 2 just runs like shit, and your graphics card probably isn't up for it.

Yeah I don't think your card will handle it very well.

You will need a new graphics card, processor and some more ram. Arma 2 is CPU & Ram heavy.
He doesn't need more RAM. Surely ARMA 2 doesn't require more than 4 GB.
He doesn't need more RAM. Surely ARMA 2 doesn't require more than 4 GB.
Yeah. He'll have to upgrade the processor and video card. You won't need more than 4GB of ram even because the game can't use more than 2GB, so it's not a concern unless you're running a huge server.

Army 2 runs poorly on my Radoen 5670 (Not great), Phenom x4, and 6gb of ram, its just a hard game to run.
Well I can run it fine, just a small amount of lag and shit graphics. So I need new processor and GFX?

A lot of stability patches have focused on reducing overflows simply because it will load such an ungodly amount of stuff. 4GB is quite good though.
I remember that the game used to run like shit on my old rig, which had a Intel Q6600 and Nvidia 8800GTX (don't remember if I did run on SLi or not though).
