• Computer doesn't detect my GPU...

So my hd6990m mobilty card died and a Dell technician came by to install a new one. I tried to install new drivers for it but nothing happens. The Ati Install Manager only installs: AMD Catalyst Install Manager, AMD APP SDK Runtime and Microsoft Visual c++ 2010. If I go to the folder were the drivers were extracted (C:\dell\drivers\R307094\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF) and try to install the Display Driver separately it says that I need to install ATI Catalyst Install Manager... So I think the setup doesn't detect the GPU and therefore doesn't install the Drivers and Catalyst Control Center. I tried everything, uninstalling previous drivers, driver sweeper etc... Can anyone help me out? I'm getting desperate...
Have you tried downloading the drivers manually from ATI instead of Windows Update or Dell?
Have you tried downloading the drivers manually from ATI instead of Windows Update or Dell?
Yeah, I did that. I fixed it, took out the GPU and cleaned everything. Now it works... The technician installed it wrong.
if something goes wrong then reseat, rinse and repeat
