Sgt, you said ages and ages ago that when you had released Evocity 2, you would go back and lightly spruse up Evocity 1, fix the cave glitch and re-release. Any chance of you doing that?

If you look at the goverment center, does it repeatedly say in concole "To many vertex, whole world can not be rendered" over and over again. Or do you get that anywhere else?

Ok so I am redoing half the area I put in because of a shadow casting problem from the section above it. It is turning out to be more like evocity 1, if this is a good or bad thing remains to be seen as I don't have much of the new new area done yet. It basically consists of a long road surrounded by cliffs, sound familiar? Well not quite. There are structures going to be scattered along the road and it will end up in another big area. What is in these new areas? A few small houses for the recluses of the RP server, a small church, a large factory like facility from the 1900's, and maybe some other stuff. The problem I am having right now is what else should be replaced, I have had a few requests to get rid of the car dealership and replace it with something else. However the downtown area is the reason why I have no resources left. Because of the proximity of the buildings it creates more waterindicies with the clusterfuck of brushwork. Basically this is what the new area will look like. [img]http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/7448/rpevocity2v2rc120006.jpg[/img] Some sections will be wider than others, possibly a creek with a small bridge thrown in there somewhere but because of the map being layered it is causing issues with how the water reflects as you can see in the suburb section in the drainage canal. The road texture probably won't stay. It apparently got distorted in photoshop when I was tiling it so I have to redo it. For those that were complaining about the map being too big before, well it's going to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big now. But that was the goal in this map was to make it as big as possible but still detailed enough were it doesn't look like a bunch of cubes with shitty lighting.
Considering I liked Evo 1 more than 2 (for reasons I can't really place) this sounds good to me. My biggest problem with RP and Gmod as a whole is sources map size limit, so the bigger the better to me. Provided it doesn't look like shit.
