•
Yep. No hole in the skybox. (Pointfile came clean). There is only one set of level 4 displacements, a pysbox, and some water, none which are buggy. However, this map crashes. I have no idea how to fix this, so please take a look at the download link below for the editable and bsp for this map: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=12852
• I fixed it. Took me ~30 seconds to find the problem. The brush that makes up the flat ground (not the displacement) is intersecting the skybox by a cunt hair. You have to zoom way in to see it. EDIT: I just went back and ran it the way you originally had it (before I changed it) and it didnt crash. So Im not sure what the problem is.
 •
Thank you. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] Nope fuck it STILL CRASHES after that fix dammit.
You realise it's probably not crashing but you're just being incredibly impatient.
 • When do you experience the crashing? Like, where in the map? I just ran around in it for a while without issues until I noclipped over to the displacement area. When I walked up on the large mound near the middle with the really square edge it locked up on me. Ive had similar issues in the past when doing things with displacements (usually when subdividing really stretched out brushes). The map has a lot of problems. I dont know if you just dont know yet (I was there at one point), or if its just a rough start. Either way, you need to get in the habit of doing things in a different way.
 • console say anything up to the point where it crashes? theres nothing wrong with the map as far as i can tell, works flawlessly for me, i would have done it differently but thats just me.
 • No. No console errors. The thing I opened firegod still has the same problem.
 •
I am launching my game from hammer. I am currently using my android, so I cannot test something that could fix the error.
For some reason that could often create some weird errors while playing. You should compile it and run the game by hand. As someone said earlier on, that displacement that people crashes on most likely needs to be fixed too.
 • its often the case with very small brushes that if they do compile, they can create an artifact of some sort. as in, a massive brush that reaches all the way to the range of the map.. is it possible that because the displacements are so sharp/high that MAYBE one lost its origins or something and is leading to a memory leak? all hypothetical...

The OP is getting a crash, not a ghost brush. Other people are able to run the map, and so why it is crashing on the op's machine is a mystery. It might be an idea that you read the whole thread before posting...
