• No sense not bumping my own thread with content. Alpha to Coverage, the texture itself is 64x64.
 • I have been porting textures from the game "The Saboteur" there are more textures I have ported over that are not shown in the images. • Actually some of those saboteur textures look kind of badly made, especially the metal plates and mechanism ones. WHya re professional developers so lazy all the time?
 •
Actually some of those saboteur textures look kind of badly made, especially the metal plates and mechanism ones. WHya re professional developers so lazy all the time?
I'm guessing being short on time, from what I hear some companies just can't finish their game completely before the deadline. Not sure if it's actually true, could be a weak excuse just to be lazy, but I rather doubt that.
 • Yeah it's probably time constraints. The other textures look really nice and it would be odd if they didn't notice some of them were lacking, so it probably ended up like that because of some bad timing.
 • Anybody know of some good websites for getting relatively High-res tiling textures?
 •
Anybody know of some good websites for getting relatively High-res tiling textures?
cgtextures is pretty good imo.
 •
Anybody know of some good websites for getting relatively High-res tiling textures?
cg textures has a small ammount and i used filterforge for a bit.. until my trial ran out. It's got a 30-day trial and people make all sorts of good stuff for it. Example - http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4351.html better than stock photo crap. Allows you to tweak and change different sliders to alter the shape, color and other things related to it.

Might aswell take the 30-day challange and make them to your own likeness like a madman. Just open a transparent 512x512 or 1024x1024 texture with it so it outputs at right resolution.
 • Nice textures (^_^) [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Hello I liked a lot what you created. These magnificent your realizations. I have some questions to rest(pose) you concerning my creations. My game(set, play) is called sniper elite I send you some photos so that you explain to me how to remove certain elements on the map, (example Train) to integrate(join) the other thing(matter) into the place(square). I wish I can also play with his(her, its) on-line modifications. By hoping that you can help me to resolve my problem. Thank you in advance. PS... Here are the programs which I use at present to realize my projects. ( 3D Ripper DX / Autodesk Maya 2009 / 3D Studio MAX v7 / 8 / 9 / 11 / Hammer Editor / Zbrush_v3.5 / Unreal Development Kit) Help I thank_you
 • using an online translator is not really going to help. but if I understood, you want to modify the map to delete some elements in it or change what they are, like turn a castle into a tree.
 • large pictures http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3779442/Camera_pictures/IMG_1747.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3779442/Camera_pictures/IMG_1748.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3779442/Camera_pictures/IMG_1749.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3779442/Camera_pictures/IMG_1751.JPG http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3779442/Camera_pictures/IMG_1752.JPG I'm linking them because they are all almost 1mb If anybody wants to make textures out of it. I took them with my camera, so don't expect it to tile. •
pictures
this in conroe/the woodlands? [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] wouldn't expect to see that kind of soil there, just looks weird
 • usually you see this kind of shit throughout some less developed areas of south houston, i would imagine it to be a bit more fertile up north
 • might I be able to hire someone to make a texture? not really sure what I can pay you with though. I need a tiling riveted trim texture, with a kind of shiny, brassy, bioshock-y look. Preferably 64 units high, 512 wide.
 • Is there anyone here who can take texture requests? I don't know if this is the appropriate thread, but I need help with something. Please?

 •
Make a thread in the request forum? Also, I have been known to oblige requests occasionally, and I need the practice cause I might get back into mapping this year...
Alright, I will post in the request forum if you can't help (I thought it was for maps). I would think this would be easy, but I'm not really good at texturing: A white tree against a black background, two or more types would be perfect (one thats dead would be perfect). A pure-black surface, a pure-white surface, and finally a white bush against a black background. I'm trying to make a horror level and I have no idea how to texture. I would be amazingly grateful if you could help.
